JEE Main: JEE Main 2024 will be administered in two phases in January and April by the National Testing Agency (NTA). BITSAT: In an online format, the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) will administer the BITSAT 2024 university-level engineering entrance exam. All qualified candidates may apply for admission to one of BITS' three campuses via the BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test). Every year, roughly 2 lakh candidates apply to take this exam, making it a very competitive entrance exam.
VITEEE: Under the VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Exam), approximately 5000 undergraduate engineering seats are open to qualified candidates. Around 2 lakh students take the university-level exam, which is administered by VIT University, each year. The test will be administered online and will be impartial in nature.
SRMJEEE: For all qualified candidates, the SRM Institute of Science and Technology will hold the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE). The SRMJEEE will be given by the SRM Institute of Science and Technology to all qualified applicants. For admission to the 7,000 open seats in undergraduate engineering, the SRMJEE 2024 exam will be delivered in a computer-based format. The entrance exam receives about 1 lakh applications each year. The 125-question entrance exam is a requirement for admission to the university, and candidates must pass it to be considered. The top 1000 IIT JEE Rank holders as well as the top scorers in the national and state board exams are given direct admissions.
COMEDK UGET: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) administers the COMEDK UGET exam for admission into the engineering programs offered by the private Associations of Medical, Dental, and Engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. The entrance examination will be held across various exam centers in India. Under B.Tech, there are about 20,000 seats available for enrollment.
JAM: On behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), the Government of India, the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) conducts the Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM), an all-Indian level online entrance exam, on a rotating basis each year. Integrated PhD programs are offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and other postgraduate programs at IITs. IIT JAM is held to provide admission to candidates for these programs. JAM scores are also accepted for admission to MSc programs at a number of National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).
GATE: A nationwide exam known as the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is authorized and administered in eight different parts of India. On behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, National Coordinating Board, and Department of Education, the GATE Committee, which is made up of professors from IISc and seven other IITs, administers the test. The GATE exam is designed to gauge students' proficiency in engineering and science-related subjects. Any of the seven IITs—IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee—as well as the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore—conduct the exam under the auspices of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
UPESEAT: The University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test is known by its full name, UPESEAT. Every year, the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) administers the exam online in order to admit qualified applicants to its various BTech programs. It is a privately funded, AICTE and UGC recognized university. The JEE Main scorecard, the board merit list, and UPESEAT are used to determine admission to UPES. The University fills 80% of its seats through UPESEAT, with the remaining 20% being filled based on Class 12 and JEE Main scores.
SET: Symbiosis International (Deemed University) administers the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) to candidates seeking admission to Symbiosis institutes. AMUEEE: The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) holds the Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE) in order to grant admission to engineering and architecture programs offered in the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, such as BTech/BArch/BE.
