Ch. Devi Lal State Institute of Engineering & Technology, Panniwala Mota was established to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of Engineering education with focus on new frontiers of technology, and to achieve excellence in the connected fields. The institute serves the useful purpose as it caters to the needs of local students especially for students of Haryana and Delhi regions. The college is named after Ch. Devi Lal, the former deputy Prime Minister of India, who had a vision to provide quality education in the state.
