It can be mentioned that Anna University got selected for support under the Tamil Nadu Innovation Initiative Scheme for Rs.20.00 Crores towards the design and development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), to make use of it during natural calamities and to keep a check on security threats and dangers.

• Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao is an Indian film actor, producer, television presenter, and entrepreneur. Nagarjuna has acted in over 100 films,
• Mylswamy Annadurai, popularly known as Moon Man of India, is an Indian scientist working as vice president for Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, Chairman, Board of Governors, National Design and Research Forum (NDRF).
