The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh occupies very significant position among the newly established NITs of India Nestled in Lap of Nature in the eastern states of India, The Institute is surrounded by natural beauty and lush greenery, providing an ideal environment for the growth of mind and heart. Ever since its inception, this NIT has done well and today it’s a center of excellence.

The National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh was inaugurated on 18th August, 2010 as a member of a group of ten new NITs. These new NITs were established as centres of excellence in technical education to combat the growing need of technological professionals in India. NIT Arunachal Pradesh started functioning under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur till, when the first permanent Director Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Tilak Bhunia assumed the charge on 1st November, 2011.

Research, is believed in the Institute as practice of profession and not career. It is qualified by concerted effort of quantifying and qualifying.
