National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) ranks among the premier institute in the field of food Industry. Located on a sprawling campus in the state of Haryana , having an area of 100 acres. The Institute attracts talent from all over India, who are aspiring to excel in the field of food and beverage. It is as a “One Stop Solution Provider” for the various problems of the sector. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India set up this institute with an initial investment of Rs. 500 crore (US $100 million). NIFTEM is an apex institution under Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) , having strong linkages with industries.

NIFTEM has established a ‘Research Cell’ to initiate, participate and strengthen the research activities in areas relevant to Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management. The Cell nurtures the research culture in students, scholars and faculties of NIFTEM by encouraging research in emerging and challenging areas of the food processing sector. In the process, the cell aims to empower and motivate every person associated with research activities to meet the vision and mission of the institute.
