Category (I): Wards and widows of ex-RPF/RPSF personnel who died while they were protecting the railway property or the passengers during a terrorist attack or even during election work.
Category (II): Wards/Widows of ex-RPF/RPSF personnel who died while they were at service.
Category (III): Wards of ex-RPF/RPSF or retired personnel.
Category (IV): Wards that RPF / RPSF personnel are still serving.
At the same time, it is important to understand that the scholarship is only available for two wards of the same family and hence you have to keep this particular factor in mind before applying for the scholarship because otherwise, it can lead to disqualification.
