Shri Ramasamy Memorial University (SRM University) is situated in the city of Gangtok, Sikkim, and was established in the year 2013 as a state private university. The university is famous for its emphasis on the rural development of Sikkim along with neighboring states and countries like Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates can apply online for admission or can download the application form from the official website of the university.
• The candidate needs to fill in the application form completely with the required details and documents and submit it to the university on the online portal or directly through post.
• The students need to upload the soft copies of the previous academic records like certificates and marksheets to prove the eligibility of the desired course.
• The university will verify all the details and documents provided by the students to check their eligibility to proceed further.
• The university will prepare a merit list and inform the selected students regarding their admission.
• The students are required to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission to the university.

Results and Cut off

The university offers the admission to the students on the basis of their previous academic record and the eligibility required for the specific course. For an undergraduate program the students are required to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent level of exam from a recognized board of education with specific subjects required for the desired course. 

For a masters program students need to have a graduation degree in the same subject of specializations. An academic record of at least 50% is needed in some courses like MCA, MBA, and others.

Placement

The university provides the campus placement drives to the students of final year in any course. The placement cell focuses on making students industry ready and can work in any difficult and critical real life situation. The students at the university face a lot of mock interviews and aptitude tests which enhance their performance in the placement drives. The university placed 91% of their students in the recent placement drive. A total of 40 companies visited the university and the highest offer received by the student was 3.5 lakhs per annum and the average salary offer was 2.5 lakhs per annum. The prominent recruiters of the university are Wipro, Flipkart, Genpact, Oyo, Indigo, and many more.
