Overview

Rai University is a private state university which is situated in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat and was established in 2012 by the Rai Foundation and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D programs in several specializations such as engineering, science, management, commerce, legal studies, psychology, pharmacy, agriculture, and many more.

The university has a department of international affairs which monitors the relations with some of the international universities that offer international exposure to the students and faculty members. Students and faculty from other universities regularly visit the university for the exchange of knowledge and to share resources. The collaborations with the industries offer students a number of seminars, webinars, workshops, live training programs, and internship offers that help students understand the working environments of the industries, which will later help them in their professional careers.

The university has more than 8,900 students enrolled in all the courses at the campus, and a total of 4,500 alumni are working in various sectors of employment in government and private organizations. The faculty members at the university are well experienced and have a great set of skills that they impart on the students during the academic sessions. The students learn theoretical and practical knowledge from the faculty members. The university has various clubs for cultural, environmental, technical, and sports driven students, which offer them the opportunity to enhance their skills in the desired fields. Rai University is ranked 126th in all India and the 13th state university of Gujarat by the IIRF University Rankings 2023, among the top universities in India.

Course Highlights

The university offers various courses under different schools in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The School of Management Studies offers courses like BBA, B.Com, M.Com, and MBA in various specializations such as HR, Finance, Marketing,International Business, Hospital & Health Management, Business Analytics and Data Visualization, and many more.
• The School of Engineering offers courses like Diploma, B.Tech, BCA, MCA, and M.Tech in various specializations such as Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Blockchain, Cyber Security, Mechanical Engineering, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates have to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates can visit the official website of the university to apply through the online mode.
• The candidates have to click on the “Apply Now” tab.
• The page will be redirected to the application form portal.
• The candidates have to fill in the application form with the required personal details and attach the necessary documents like the certificates of the previous academic records along with their photographs and signatures.
• The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 600 for UG/PG/Diploma and Rs. 1500 for submitting a Ph.D application form.
• The candidates may have to appear at the entrance examinations required by the desired course.
• The students with the cutoff marks and eligibility will go through a counseling process, where they have to face group discussions and personal interviews along with document verification.
• The candidates who qualify for all these processes are given admission on the condition of submitting an admission fee within a limited period of time.

Results and Cut off

The students are given admission on the basis of their previous academic records and the marks scored in the entrance exams organized by the university and other state or national level entrance examinations.

The university prefers a valid scorecard in the GUJCET and Gujarat PGCET entrance examinations for admission to the UG and PG engineering courses. The university conducts entrance examinations for Ph.D admissions and also prefers the national level entrance examinations like SLET, NET, and JRF for the same.

The eligibility criteria for each course are different, which is necessary for getting admission to the university. The students need to pass the 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education with at least 45% marks to get admitted to an undergraduate course. The students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 50% marks to get admission to a master’s degree program. For the doctoral programs, students need to have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 55% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students.

The university offers campus placement drives opportunity for the students of the final year of academic session, which offers them to start their professional career just after completing the academic sessions. The university has a training and placement cell that works for the students in bringing an overall change in their personalities along with making the recruiters visit the university for the campus placement drives. The university organizes various personality development classes for the students to prepare them for the personal interviews that help them get placed. The university places a total of 91% of its students in some of the nation's and multinational organizations. The major recruiters of the university are FinWizz Management Pvt. Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and has a huge campus that offers all the facilities like hostels, labs, libraries, sports grounds, cafeterias, transportation, seminar halls, mess, gym, wi-fi campus, various cultural, academic, sports clubs, and many more.

The hostels at the campus are separated on the basis of boys and girls. The hostels offer both Air Conditioned and Non-AC rooms for the students according to their convenience. The rooms have beds, lights, fans, etc. The mess at the campus offers meals and breakfast to the students and staff. The foods are monitored regularly, keeping the health conditions of students in mind.

The university has more than 45 labs for various subjects offered by the university. The labs are equipped with all the equipment and resources that are  needed by the students to complete their practical's. For more skill development, the university organizes various industrial visits and workshops at the campus. The library at the campus has a lot of academic books that enhance the theoretical knowledge of the students.
