North East Frontier Technical University

Overview

The North East Frontier Technical University is a private state university which is situated in the West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh and was established in 2014 by the state government and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs in several specializations such as engineering, arts, social science, commerce, management, education, mass communication, pharmacy, science, public health, hotel management, allied health science, law, and many more.

The faculty members at the university are well experienced and carry an exceptional set of knowledge in their specializations that helps students gain the knowledge that will help them in their professional career. The university organizes a number of workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and live training programs in collaboration with many national and international organizations in both educational and industrial fields. The students learn the practicality of the subjects and enhance their critical thinking abilities, which are necessary for working in any professional organization.

• The Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers courses like Diploma, B.Tech, M.Tech, and various certificate courses in several specializations such as computer science engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, biotechnology, electrical engineering, electronics & communication, information technology, and many more.
• The Faculty of Arts offers courses like Diploma, BA, BFA, BSW, MA, MFA, and MSW in various specializations such as psychology, history, political science, English, Hindi, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics, Math, Geography, Painting, Education, and many more.
• The Faculty of Commerce and Management offers courses like Diploma, B.Com, BBA, BATHM, M.Com, and MBA in various specializations such as finance, accounting, human resources, IT, industrial safety, health care, school management, event management, project management, and many more.
• The Faculty of Science offers courses like Diploma, BCA, B.Sc, MCA, M.Lib, B.Lib, and M.Sc in various specializations such as computer science, information technology, physics, chemistry, math, zoology, botany, zeology, environmental science, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The university prefers the offline mode of application form along with the online mode.
• The candidates can visit the university and can get the admission form from the administration block or can download the admission form from the official website of the university.
• The form needs to be filled out completely along with the necessary documents like marksheets and certificates of previous academic record, photographs, domicile certificate, caste certificate, and others.
• The candidates need to pay an application fee to submit the form.
• The candidates can do the same process in an online mode.
• The candidates are required to appear in the entrance test organized by the university and secure cutoff marks to ensure their admissions.
• The university releases a merit list of selected candidates who can confirm their admission by paying the admission fee at a given time.

Results and Cut off

The university conducts an offline entrance test in Arunachal Pradesh for every course. The students have to get a cutoff mark in the entrance test and should have a minimum eligibility mark in their previous academic records to get admission.

The students have to pass the 10th examination from a recognized board of education to get admission into diploma courses at the university.

The students are required to pass 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education to get admission into an undergraduate program at the university.

For a Master's degree, students should have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad.

Placement

The Training and Placement Cell at the university believes in imparting skills to the students to be ready to work in the global culture. The university offers On Joining Training (OJT) to students that helps in the smooth transition of students from their academic life to their professional life. The university offers campus placement drives to students in their final year and gives them an opportunity to start their professional career just after their academic session. The major recruiters of the university are Capgemini, Ericsson, Infosys, Microsoft, Toyota, CSC, ARI, Fiserv, and many more.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh, and is spread over a huge area and filled with a number of trees that make it a huge green campus. The campus has all the facilities like library, cafeteria, sports complex, laboratories, workshops, hostel accommodations, mess, and many more.

The library at the university is a place where students prefer to visit for theoretical knowledge, as the library is filled with a lot of academic books for each subject, along with journals, magazines, daily newspapers, and many more. There are various laboratories at the university, which are used by the students for gaining practical knowledge about the subjects. The computers have the latest software that is required by the students.

The hostels at the university are divided into different sections on the basis of male and female students. The mess at the university campus offers delicious and nutritious food for the students and staff. The food is monitored by the warden to look after the health conditions of the students.

The campus has sports grounds that are used by the students to play various sports and their equipment. Sports help the students keep themselves physically fit and mentally free. The cafeterias at the university are the best places to chill for students as they offer snacks and a place to sit with their friends.
