The Manav Bharti University (MBU) was established in the year 2009. The university is set up under HP private university act. It is owned by Manav Bharti Charitable Trust. The university aims to provide an all-around social transformation through the spread of quality education in rural areas. To nurture and maximize the potential of our stakeholders, MBU embraces a culture of lifelong learning.
The university is recognized by UGC and is a proud member of AIU . Accreditations from NAAC with grade 'A' have been received by the institute. MBU is recognized by the government and has the right to confer degrees as per the UGC act, 1956. Besides, the university has been approved by several regulatory bodies like AICTE, BCI, and PCI. Over the years, with its highly appreciable services, the university has received a variety of accolades and awards.
The faculties of the university are selected through a thorough screening process. They incorporate unique teaching approaches and methodologies. The university's teaching pedagogy focuses on global business, technology application and developing leadership skills. The university also emphasizes developing useful and practical skills. MBU offers a variety of specialization UG and PG courses under 6 different streams. Besides, special doctoral degree courses are also provided by the institute. To get admission in any of the offered courses, the candidate must register first on the official university website, the following should fill up the online application form. Then, depending on the course applied for, the candidate needs to appear for the specified entrance exam.

Upon successfully passing the entrance exam, the candidate is offered the desired course seat. The seat offer is based on its availability. Following, complete the admission process or the seat will be cancelled.
Any candidate interested in enrolling in a specialization course offered by the university must meet certain eligibility criteria. The candidate must have at least 45% marks in 10+2 to be eligible for most UG courses. For different courses, the minimum percentage varies. Candidates must take their 10+2 exams with a recognized board. SC/ST candidates are provided with a relaxation of eligibility criteria.
Candidates can begin the admission process after fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements. Upon passing the selection process, the candidate receives an offer of a seat in the desired course.
The university has formulated a separate placement cell for keeping a close connection with the industry sector. The placement cell is well equipped with ample infrastructural support. It organizes pre-placement talks, presentations and many more in its testing and consultancy hall. The main objective of the cell is to provide employment opportunities and world-class training opportunities to its students. To achieve its goal, the cell works to recognize the core competencies of the students.
It produces a common placement brochure for all courses. And provides them with all the companies while inviting them for the recruitment drive. Alongside, it provides summer internships to the pre-final year students. These efforts by the placement cell allow students to choose a bright career for themselves.
The university, with its professional and creative training methods, has delivered many talented graduates over the years. The huge campus of MBU is situated in the rural backdrops of Himachal Pradesh. The surrounding campus is filled with a serene and lush green environment. The MBU campus is designed to provide a peaceful environment for learning purposes. The whole campus is enabled with high-speed wifi, providing connectivity to every nook and corner of the university. The campus is built on modern infrastructure. It possesses 7 large academic blocks with fully furnished classrooms, lecture halls, seminar halls. All the event rooms and classrooms of the university are equipped with amplifying audio and video systems. Besides, to help the students grasp concepts well and complete their assignments and projects properly, the university provides them with a comprehensive library.
Students at MBU have access to 800 fully furnished, shared room hostels. Separate hostels are built on the campus for boys and girls. Students are provided with these to ensure their wellbeing and facilitate their continuous learning. High-tech security systems are installed in the hostels, for 24 by 7 surveillance. In the hostels, all the basics are provided so that students can take care of their routine needs. There is a convenience store as well where all the general needs of the students can be fulfilled, along with a bank and an ATM. Besides, the university also provides students with a gym, medical centre, and hygienic canteen and mess for their health. All of these aspects work together to ensure the holistic development of students on campus.
