Overview

J.K. Lakshmipat University is a private state university in Rajasthan, in Jaipur city, and was founded in 2011 by Lala Lakshmipat Singhania, the key founder of the  Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation. The university offers different academic programs such as engineering, management, and design. The major focus of the university is the skill development of the students in their specialized fields. The skill oriented live training sessions are the highlight of this university.

The university also provides an opportunity for students to study at IIT for a complete semester. A few students benefit from this opportunity every year. Apart from IIT, the university also has a collaboration with some other national and international universities to enhance the understanding and knowledge of the students. The multiple tie-ups and collaborations with different organizations make it culturally rich and provide various opportunities for the students in the industrial fields. 

JKLU is ranked 72nd in all India rankings and 10th in Rajasthan state rankings in the IIRF University Ranking 2023. Overall, it is a good university as the students from here are doing great in their respective careers in every sector of employment.

Admission Process

The selection of a student at JKLU is finalized after a series of evaluative steps. Let's look at them in a detailed manner.

● Fill out the application form with the required details and upload the various documents like marksheets and certificates of the academic records, whatever is needed.

● After submitting the application form, students have to pay the application fees. Without completing this process, the form will not be considered complete by the university.

● Submission of the application fee will enable the students to proceed to the next process.

● The Personal Interaction Round with Faculty, provided the student meets the eligibility criteria. Verification of the marksheets and certificates will be done in this process.

● JKLU uses merit-based assessment of candidates, focusing on attitude and aptitude tests, to help them benefit from the unique learning experience at JKLU.

● After the completion of all the processes, the student will be updated with a provisional admission offer letter by registered mail.

● Students need to submit the admission fees to complete the admission process.

Results and Cut off

The university offers different eligibility criteria for various courses, as students need to have a minimum of 70% marks in the qualifying exam if they wish to take admission in computer science engineering and a minimum of 65% marks for mechanical and electrical communication engineering.

For Design, a minimum of  60% marks or equivalent CGPA in a three-year Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. Students appearing in the final examination for a Bachelor’s Degree can also apply. The candidates must have appeared in the CEED or any other national level entrance test. In the event that the candidate does not qualify for any of the mentioned tests, they will have to appear in the university Design Entrance Test (DET).

For a Ph.D, one needs to fulfill the University Grant Commission (UGC) eligibility criteria or have to appear in the university examination and secure a seat by scoring the merit marks.

Placement

The university has had a good placement record in recent years, as the university promises to offer at least two recruiting companies for each student. 89% of the students have already been placed from the current batch of 2021-22. Highest placement offered of Rs. 15.25 Lakhs, Average Salary of 7.05 LPA for B.Tech & 7.22 LPA for MBA and 4 Lakh minimum salary.

In the last 3 years, AIC-JKLU has initiated 43 startups in several sectors, including Fintech, Ed-tech, EVs, Agritech, and many more. It has been rated as one of the best performing incubators in the AIM network. The AIC, due to its collaboration with JKLU, has several startup programs and labs running all over India.

Campus Facilities

The campus of JKLU is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and is equipped with all the facilities like a  hostel, cafeteria, sports ground, gym, and many cultural clubs like music, dance, and theater.
