Overview

The Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya also called DSVV was established in the year 2002. The university was set up under the act of the Uttrakhand Legislative Assembly. The university is run by the Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust and is established to provide quality education to the students. The courses offered by the university are offered both in full-time and distance learning mode.

Since the day of its establishment, the university has received a number of awards and accolades. It is rewarded by the government organizations of the country and by the students of the university themselves. The university is affiliated with various organizations of national importance. Some of which include UGC, NAAC, DEC, and MHRD. Hence, with this support, the university is effortlessly growing to live its motto to become the university for the Global, Cultural, and Spiritual Renaissance.

Admission Process 

Students from around the world wait for the commencement of the admission process at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. Studying the desired course at this university is a dream for many. Therefore, the university conducts a thorough admission process every year for taking admission to the various courses it offers. The admission process is made open for both Indian as well as foreign students. The stepwise process of admission to any course offered by the university is mentioned below. 

• Online registration on the college website
• Appearing for the entrance exam conducted by the university.
• Appearing for the personal interview round upon selection in the written exam round

Then based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam and the personal interview, a list of selected candidates is prepared. Based on this list, students are allotted seats in the available and eligible courses. Following which to book the seat, the student needs to pay the required admission fees. Upon successfully completing these steps the admission process is concluded. 

Results and Cut off 

Before proceeding with the admission process, it is very important for the candidates to check on the eligibility criteria. For the UG courses offered the minimum eligibility is the completion of the 10+2 exam from a recognized board. The minimum aggregate mark required for being eligible to participate in the admission process is 50%. While for the PG courses the minimum requirement to participate in the admission process is the completion of graduation. Graduation from any discipline with a minimum of 50% is required for the eligibility of participating in the university admission process. 

Placement

DSVV has a separate placement cell for providing the placement and training facilities. This cell helps in grooming the students into great professionals with the initiatives they have taken. Some of the steps taken by the cell to promote growth and career development among students include pre-placement training, industrial visits, guest seminars, and professional talks. Alongside, the university conducts certain sessions and tests on aptitude and soft skills. These help students prepare well and land their dream job.

Campus Facilities 

Positioned within the lush Himalayan vegetation, the DSVV campus is spread across 76 acres of land in Haridwar. The whole campus is built within the serene environment of Haridwar, thus promoting peaceful learning among students. To help in the process, the campus is equipped with excellent infrastructure and top-class faculty members and staff. To fulfill the basic requirements of the students within the campus, there is a convenience store. Besides, the health of the students is taken care of by the hospital built within the campus premises. 

The DSVV University is a fully residential university and hence it provides the students with hostel facilities. Each hostel is equipped according to the facilitation of the needs of the students. They have a common room fitted with a TV and have a daily supply of newspapers, magazines, and journals. Besides, the hostels have a proper system of water purifiers and water coolers. Apart from these basic amenities, the university also provides its students with a sports complex, gymnasium, and several student clubs. These help in bringing the holistic development of the students and prepare them for a better future.
