Overview

AURO University (formerly AURO University of Hospitality and Management) is a private state university that is situated in the city of Surat, Gujarat and was established in 2011 by the JHM group of hotels. The university has seven schools which offer diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various specializations such as business, hospitality, management, law, journalism and mass communication, design, information technology, and many more.

The university has collaborations with a number of national and international organizations in both educational and industrial fields. Some of them are Kyung Hee University Korea, Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, Northwest Accreditation Commission, USA, University of Northampton, University of Massachusetts, Lowell Campus, and many more. Educational collaborations help the university in exchanging knowledge, students, and faculties, whereas industrial tie ups help the students in learning professional career related skills.

The live training, workshops, and seminars are organized by the university for the students to develop critical thinking and be ready for the opportunities in the professional career. The university offers several personality development classes to improve the communication skills and body language to benefit the all round development of the students. The university offers financial aid to students from the weaker financial section in the form of scholarships and educational loans.

The university has a special international office to deal with foreign students and provide them with easy access to gain admission and other facilities after admission. The campus of the university offers all the necessary facilities that are required to run an educational firm. AURO University of Hospitality and Management is ranked 86th in all India and the 9th state university of Maharashtra by the IIRF University Rankings 2023 among the top universities in India.

Course Highlights

The university offers different courses under various schools in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The School of Business offers courses like BBA, B.Com, MBA, Ph.D, and various certificate courses in several specializations such as  family business management & entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, supply chain and block-chain technology in the retail industry, and many more.
• The School of Hospitality Management offers courses like B.Sc, M.Sc, Integrated PG Diploma, and Ph.D in various specializations.
• The School of Information Technology offers courses like B.Sc, M.Sc, Integrated B.Sc+M.Sc, and Ph.D in various specializations like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and many more.
• The School of Law offers courses like BBA LLB, BA LLB, LLM, and Ph.D in various specializations of legal studies.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given process to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university and click on the admission block.
• The candidates have to first register themselves on the web portal by verifying their email IDs.
• After the registration process, candidates have to fill in the application form by choosing the desired courses along with their personal details.
• The candidates are required to upload the necessary documents like marksheets and certificates of previous academic records.
• After completing the application form, the candidates need to pay the application fee and submit the form.
• The students need to appear in the entrance test organized by the university and have to score the cutoff marks.
• The university will call the students for the counseling process, which will include group discussion and personal interviews if the desired course demands so.
• The university will release a merit list of the selected candidates, who have to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

Results and Cut off

The university offers admissions to students on the basis of their previous academic records and rankings in the entrance tests organized by the university and other national level entrance examinations like AIMA UGAT, CAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, CMAT, LSAT, CLAT, etc. For undergraduate programs, students need to pass 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education in India with at least 50% marks. For a master’s degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in  a similar specialization from a recognized university in India. For Ph.D programs, the university follows the rules and regulations prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). 

Placement

The university offers campus placement drives for students in their final year of academics. The students here have the opportunity to get placed in top national and multinational companies during their academic session. Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Surat, Gujarat, and has a lot of facilities like hostels, library, laboratories, mess, cafeterias, sports grounds, gym, transportation, medical, seminar halls, auditorium, several clubs, and many more.

The hostel at the university has different blocks for boys and girls. The rooms of the hostel are cleaned on a regular basis. Hostels have wi-fi facilities along with beds, fans, chairs, tables, etc. The mess is attached to the hostel block that offers tasty and nutritious food to the students and staff.

The university offers several clubs like aadhar, dance, singing, dramatics, music, photography, sports, adventure, and many more that offer many extracurricular activities for the students and enhance their all round skills.

The auditorium at the university hosts a lot of events like annual parties, farewells, freshers' parties, and many more. The university gives special emphasis on such activities to engage students in academic sessions.

The library at the university has a lot of academic books along with journals, magazines, and daily newspapers. The labs at the university are equipped with the latest instruments that provide assistance to the students in completing their practical's.
