1. Merit cum Means Scholarships: These are the most prestigious funding options on campus. Up to 10 students may be selected for the scholarship every year, and it is funded through a corpus of INR 30 LPA, donated by the Mirae Asset Foundation. In addition to academic merit (as gauged through the NMAT performance and academic history as depicted in the NMIMS application), only students with a family income lower than 8 LPA are eligible to apply. In addition, applicants must produce an EWS certificate, and a proof of an education loan from any recognized Indian bank.
2. Central Sector Scheme Scholarships: These are awarded according to the norms of the Indian Government to provide financial assistance (both tuition fees and living expenses) to economically weaker students belonging to the SC, ST, and PWD categories. The amount is either INR 1,000 or INR 2,000 per month, and is paid directly into the bank accounts of eligible candidates who are awarded the scholarships. The process is overseen by the MHRD, GoI.
