Fees

The academic fees and living costs for the postgraduate management programs offered by the School of Management, Mahindra University, are:

  • MBA:
    • The total academic fees (including tuition, examination, registration, library, computer lab, industrial visit, alumni cell, and placement charges) are INR 8 LPA (or INR 16 Lakh overall).
    • The academic fees do not include the cost of boarding and lodging, mess fees, cost of academic materials, laptop purchase cost, shopping for personal items, or recreation, and students must budget for these separately.
    • The academic fees include the cost of international immersion teaching programs and boarding; however, students must additionally pay the cost of their flight tickets to the partner campus and budget for travel within the host country.
  • Executive MBA:
    • The academic fee, course material fee, and boarding charges total INR 12 LPA, or INR 24 LPA for the whole two year program. Travel and international immersion programs are charged separately.
  • Students must pay INR 2.1 LPA for the hostel fee; the cost of all meals and the hostel caution deposit is included within this sum.
  • There is also an additional security deposit of INR 20,000 payable to Mahindra University at the time of academic registration. This will be refunded when the student graduates provided his/her conduct is good, and that no damage is caused to University property.

Admissions

The eligibility criteria for admission to School of Management, Mahindra University, are as follows:

  • MBA:
    • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration.
    • There is no minimum aggregate cut-off specified over all the Bachelor’s degree semester examinations.
    • Students in the final year of such a degree may also apply, provided that they submit their pass certificate before joining Mahindra University for the MBA program.
    • All candidates must submit CAT, GMAT, or GRE scores. A valid percentile score in any of these entrance tests is sufficient; no cut-off is specified at the time of application.
  • BBA:
    • The applicant must have valid pass certificates from Standard X and XII Board Examinations.
    • The aggregate of the best four subjects at 10+2 level must be at least 80%, or equivalent grade (if the student is from the IB board or has completed A-Levels).
    • Students with valid SAT scores will also be eligible to apply; however, this is not compulsory.
    • All applicants must have Mathematics as one of the subjects in the Standard XII Board Examination, with a pass grade in this subject.

The steps in the admission and application procedure include:

  • MBA:
    • Visiting the online application portal of Mahindra University.
    • Filling up the application form, including personal details, contact information, academic history data, standardized test scorecard scans, and scans of documents supporting all the personal and academic data provided.
    • Submitting a written essay based on the topic provided.
    • Recording and uploading a video essay based on the given topic.
    • Submitting a scholarship essay (this is optional). It must be written like a Statement of Purpose, outlining the long term career leadership potential for the student and clearly detailing the requirement for financial aid.
    • After the application window closes, the School of Management, Mahindra University, will contact the shortlisted candidates, who must appear for a virtual or in-person interview.
    • The final merit list is prepared after the Personal Interview round, and candidates must pay the first installment of their tuition fees to join MU for the MBA program.
  • BBA: The application process is similar to that for MBA students; however, the interview requirement may be waived depending on the decision of the University.

Cut-Offs

Unlike in many other Business Schools, there is no cut-off based on UG academic performance, for applicants to the MBA program at Mahindra University. Similarly, there is no minimum cut-off percentile specified based on the CAT, GRE, or GMAT exams, and the overall percentile of the last student in the merit list to receive an admission offer becomes the cut-off after the selection process concludes. However, applicants to the BBA program must have a minimum aggregate of 80% across their best subjects at 10+2 level, to ensure that their applications will be shortlisted for further screening.

Faculty & Alumni

The School of Management, Mahindra University, is home to 6 full time Faculty members. All of them are full Professors, some of which have additional duties as Deans and Heads of Practice.
