Fees

The fee structure for the two main MBA specializations at DoMS, Anna University, is as follows. The total tuition fees are far lower than those charged by the other contenders for the best MBA colleges in India, and hence private B-Schools as well.

Admissions

Students are admitted to the Department of Management Studies, Anna University, based on their performance in the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). This qualifying examination is conducted by Anna University, for admission to several management and engineering programs across the state. The eligibility criteria based on earlier education are implicit in the requirements to appear for TANCET, and are as follows:

  • The candidate must hold an undergraduate degree of at least three years’ duration from a recognized Higher Education Institution in India or abroad.
  • There is no restriction based on undergraduate major subjects; students of any discipline may apply for the MBA at Anna University.
  • The applicant must have an aggregate of at least 50% across all the years of the UG degree. This criterion is relaxed to 45% in the case of reserved category candidates.

To apply for the MBA program at Anna University, students must proceed to the TANCET 2024 website and click the Apply for TANCET link. After filling up their personal details and undergraduate academic transcripts and certificates, they can pay the examination fee (INR 1,000 for general category and OBC candidates, INR 500 for SC/ST applicants) and complete the process of registration for the entrance examination.

The TANCET examination has four main sections that must be attempted in two hours. Negative marking is present (33% of the total value of each question):

The rank list is prepared according to the score, and the seats are filled from the highest ranker downwards.
