English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) is a Central University located primarily in Hyderabad. Its aim is to be a hub of world class education in the humanities, and to increase the synergy between India and global languages. The total academic fees for students of various programs to study in EFLU are as follows:

  • UG General Category students:

Residents of the EFLU hostel can choose to eat in either the mess or canteen. The mess fee is variable based on the type of cuisine chosen, and ranges from INR 2,000 to INR 2,500 per month. Finally, students who choose to live in the hostel must also pay the monthly room rent costs, which vary according to the type of room and the country of origin of the student.

The eligibility criteria for admission to English and Foreign Languages University are similar to those for the other top Universities in India:

  • UG programs:
    • Applicants must have a 10+2 pass certificate issued by any Board of Higher Secondary education recognized in India or abroad.

    • Submitting an online application to EFLU; uploading soft copies of mark sheets and identity documents.
    • Appearing for the entrance test after downloading the hall ticket.
    • After the entrance test is completed, EFLU releases a provisional shortlist of candidates who satisfy all the criteria and have performed well in the entrance test.
    • The shortlist acts as a provisional admission offer; the final admission is confirmed only after all documents are submitted for verification and the academic registration process is completed.
  • PG programs:
    • The steps are similar to those for UG candidates; however, the process usually starts later in the year.

The initial cut-offs related to admissions to UG and PG programs offered by English and Foreign Languages University are based on the aggregate in the qualifying entrance examination (in addition to the 55% cut-off in UG semester exams for PG aspirants, and 50% cut-off in the Standard 12 Board Examinations for UG aspirants). Only students who pass these cut-offs can apply for the entrance test. 7. UGC Non-NET Fellowship: This is intended for Research Scholars who have not qualified for any other scholarship. This research fellowship pays INR 8,000 per month, with an additional contingency grant of INR 8,000 per year.

8. Student Stipend: SC and ST students do not have to pay tuition or hostel fees, and they are given an additional stipend of INR 1,000 per month.

A total of 66 UG and 92 PG students of EFLU receive 100% scholarships from various Telangana State and Central Government schemes. 173 UG and 167 PG students receive full scholarships from University scholarship schemes.
