Overview

The Charotar University of Science and Technology is a private university which is situated in the city of Anand, Gujarat and was established in 2001. Earlier, the university was known as Education Campus and later was named Charotar University of Science and Technology and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in several specializations, such as engineering, pharmacy, management, science, medical sciences, and many more.

The university has a great set of faculty members, most of whom have Ph.D degrees from top universities in India and abroad. The faculty members have exceptional knowledge of their specialized subjects and have a lot of experience in teaching. That helps students complete their academic sessions with a lot of knowledge. The university has collaborations with a lot of organizations in India and abroad.

The university offers a lot of seminars, workshops, live training programs, industrial expert lectures, and webinars that help students learn the skills that they are supposed to know to start their professional careers. The university offers a lot of purses at various faculties in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D in various specializations such as civil engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology, electrical power systems, and many more.
• The Faculty of Pharmacy offers courses like B.Pharma and M.Pharma in various specializations such as pharmaceutical technology, pharmacology, pharmaceutical quality assurance, pharmacy practice, and many more.
• The Faculty of Science offers courses like B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D in various specializations such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biotechnology, zoology botany, biochemistry, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university to fill in the online application form.

• The candidates have to register themselves first by their mobile numbers and email IDs along with choosing the desired course.
• The candidates have to verify their email IDs with the verification link generated by the university.
• The candidates have to fill in the application form with the required details and have to attach the required documents like marksheets, photographs, cast certificates, domicile certificates, and other certificates of previous academic records.
• The candidates have to pay an online application fee to submit the application form.
• The university prepares a merit list of the selected students on the basis of their previous academic records and their ranking in state and national level entrance examinations.
• The candidates have to submit the admission fee to confirm their seats at the university.

Results and Cut off

The university offers admission to students on the basis of their previous academic records and their ranking in any state level or national level entrance examinations like JEE Mains, GUJCET, CAT, and many more. 

The students have to pass 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education in India or abroad with at least 45% marks to be eligible for the undergraduate programs at the university. A relaxation of 5% marks is given to reserve category students.

For a master’s degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad. The candidates are required to score at least 50% in their undergraduate program.

The university has Ph.D programs in a total of 19 subjects, and they are admitted through the eligibility criteria set by the UGC. The candidate needs to have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 55% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students.

Placement

The placement cell at the university is a well maintained committee that operates in a proper way and organizes a lot of campus placement drives for the students in their final year. The students have an opportunity to get placed in some multinational companies during their academic session. The university calls up to 344 recruiters in an academic session and has received the highest salary package of 18 lakhs per annum. The university also promotes the entrepreneurial spirits in students and helps them get the funding to start their own start-ups. The tie ups with the multinational organizations helps the students with guidance in their startups. Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Anand, Gujarat and has a huge green campus with a lot of trees and two ponds that create a pure environment and feasible conditions for the students to complete their academic process. The campus has all the facilities like transportation, sports complex, labs, cafeteria, gym, auditorium, AC classrooms, hostels, library, mess, and many more.

The university offers transport facilities for students on the different routes of the city, which helps the students to avoid the traffic and risk of self driving and provides quick mobility in every part of the city. The university has medical facilities for the students, and there are ambulances for an emergency situation.

The campus has four different girl's hostels, and the boy's hostel is outside the campus but not so far that they can easily take classes . There are different types of rooms, like AC rooms, Non-AC rooms, big rooms, and small rooms. The students have the option to choose the kind of room they want to live in. The mess facility is also attached to the hostels that offer food for the students.

There is an excellent quality of gym available for the girls to do workout and stay fit. The sports grounds at the university host various sports tournaments that engage students in the academic sessions. The university has world class AC classrooms for the students. 

The library at the university has a number of academic books along with journals, magazines, and daily newspapers for the students. The students can borrow the books from the library for an academic session. The labs at the university are equipped with all the latest equipment needed for the practical's.
