Rizvi Law College (RLC), Mumbai Maharashtra was established in 2002. It is recognized by the Bar Council of India and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. It has proved to be a well-liked place for aspiring legal students. The main reason for the popularity of RLC is that it provides a favorable environment for students who seek to study law professionally. It also nurtures the creativity and latent talent of the students. 
RLC is situated in Bandra, a Mumbai suburb. It has an excellent infrastructure and has a well-equipped Moot Hall, library, canteen, conference halls, and other facilities. One of the most advantageous points in favor of RLC is that the institute is a part of a larger student body of the Rizvi Education Society. Therefore there is great buoyancy among the student community with the intermingling of young minds of all different disciplines. It may not be out of place to mention that the campus houses Management, Engineering, and Hospitality disciplines.
The institute gets regular visitors from far and near. Judges, academicians, lawyers, attorneys, diplomats, etc. grace RLC and share their valuable knowledge with the young minds. Visiting students from US colleges also come and interact with their Indian counterparts.
The students come from various places and it gives the college the inclusiveness which is a huge strength. The students take great initiative in managing the various co-curricular activities like the Students' Bar Forum. They also take an active part in the various clubs of the institute and arrange cultural festivals and Moot Courts.             

Courses offered and eligibility 

RLC offers two courses - (1) Three-year LL. B. (Bachelor of Laws) course and (2) Five-year Integrated Law Course – Bachelor of Legal Science (BLS) / Bachelor of Law (LL. B.)

Three-year LL. B. (regular)

Only Indian citizens and Foreign Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are eligible to apply. It is mandatory for the part of the prospective candidates to establish their citizenship by producing the requisite documents along with the application. Only graduates with a minimum of 40% to 45% of marks from any university of Maharashtra or UGC recognized universities are eligible to apply.

Five Year LL B. degree course (Integrated)


The candidates seeking admission to the course will have to be Indian citizens or a Foreign Person of Indian Origin (PIO). They are required to provide the requisite documents establishing their citizenship along with their application form. The candidates will have to pass the senior secondary school course (like 10 + 2, or 11 + 1 A level) from a recognized institution. 

Admission Process

Regarding the admission procedure to the courses, the rules of the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) will apply. The process will be carried out by the competent authority as per the existing rules liable to change from time to time. The students who have appeared for the central eligibility test will have to register themselves for CAP. It will have to be done online. The link is given by the competent authority on their website. The candidates will have to download their rank cards from the website and apply online through the said link.  
  • The aspirants to the courses of the RLC will have to appear for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET).
  • Online application is to be made to apply for the MHCET.
  • Allotment order is given to the candidates. Placement is confirmed through this order.
  • The requisite fees are to be deposited. 
  • Candidates must visit the college with the required documents during the admission dates.
  • The various documents required are specified by the college, for example – degree certificate, provisional certificate, nativity certificates, mark sheets, allotment order, college transfer certificate, conduct certificate, community certificate, or any other documents required by the institute. 




There is a placement cell in the Rizvi Law College. It strives to place students in the corporate sector and legal firms. The college tries to build up a healthy academic-industry collaborative partnership so that the future of the students can be taken care of. Campus interviews are also arranged at times. 


The professors of the RLC are highly competent, experienced and use modern techniques and teaching aids to impart quality education. More focus is given to make studying an experience. The students are given individual attention and are coached in the areas where they are weak. Special care is taken to improve communication skills, language skills, public speaking, and personality development. Eminent judges and legal professionals from the higher courts are invited regularly to the institute. The students benefit from the lively interactions, lectures, discussions, moot court, etc. which took place. 

International Collaborations and Statistics

Regular visits and lecture sessions from scholars and eminent legal personalities from the UK, USA, and Australia add to the excellence of the institute.
