Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

MAT or Management Aptitude Test is a national level entrance exam conducted for students who want to go for an MBA program from a reputed B-School in India. Over 800+B-schools accept MAT scores. As per the current high-court order, the MAT score will be accepted by Maharashtra B-Schools. MAT 2021 CBT and PBT mode exams were canceled due to pandemics; now, the application process will start from the second week of July.

The MAT exam is the simplest among the rest of the MBA entrance exams, and it is organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT appears almost 4 times in a year, i.e. February, May, September, and December. So, MAT is the only exam that offers students the three options to appear on the exam, i.e. Computer Based Test ( CBT), Paper Based Test ( PBT), and Internet-Based Test ( IBT) modes. The MAT question paper includes 200 Multiple choice questions with 5 different subjects.

MAT Eligibility criteria

Aspirants! Those who want to appear for the MAT 2021 exam will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

  • The candidate applying for the MAT exam must have a bachelor’s degree in any of the streams and that of a well-known university.
  • Final-year college students are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam.

MAT exam Application Process

MAT application forms are readily available on AIMA-MAT official website. Those aspirants who want to give the MAT exam can fill-up the form by registering their details on the MAT official website. Check out the application process.

Step 1: Visit the official AIMA MAT website.

  •  Aspirants, Login to AIMA MAT official website
  •  Click on the registration tab.
  •  Enter your details, like, name, Date of birth, mobile number, email, and verify your number.
  • You must provide the essential documents like- valid email id, Image of scanned signature & photograph, personal details and debit card/credit card/Paytm details, educational qualification details, etc.        

Step 2: Logged in candidates can visit the AIMA site.

Those aspirants, who have logged in their details can visit the website: https://mat.aima.in and enter their registered details and click on the submit button.

Step 3: Complete your payment.

Choose your exam mode, test city. Then, select your mode of payment and pay the amount via debit/credit card, net banking, wallet, or UPI.

Step 4: Upload your photograph and signature.

Submit your recent photograph and signature in the .jpeg or jpg format.

Step 5: Fill out your personal details, qualifications, and other details for selecting Management Institutes.

Step 6: Check out and download your registration form.

Language ComprehensionThis particular section contains 40 questions from Noun, Verb, Pronoun, Adjective, Adverb, One-word Substitution, Antonyms & Synonyms, Fill in the blanks, Para Jumble and Reading Comprehension.
Intelligence & Critical ReasoningThis particular section contains 40 questions from Course of Action, Family Tree, Pie chart, Arrangement, Blood Relations, Coding & Decoding, Visual Reasoning.
Data Analysis & Data SufficiencyThis section includes 40 questions. 20 questions of DA and 20 questions of DS. Some of the questions asked are from pie charts, data comparison, Quantitative Comparison, and more.
Mathematical SkillsThis section includes 40 questions from different topics like Geometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Trigonometry, and Modern Maths.
Indian & Global EnvironmentThis section is taken at the end, as its scores are not included in the MAT percentage. Current Affairs and GK-based questions are asked in this section.
