UPES (the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies) offers admissions to students in varied undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Those students who want to get admission in B.Tech courses in 37 different disciplines have to qualify for the JEE Main exam. Admission to B Tech courses will be provided on the basis of LSAT, CLAT scores, or board merit (12th level scores).
What is UPESEAT?
UPESEAT is the abbreviation for the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test. UPES organizes the entrance exam every year with the motive to give admission to B.Tech programs. It is UGC, AICTE, and a self-financed approved University. 80% of UPES is done via UPESEAT and 20% of admissions are done via the JEE Main scorecard and class 12th result.

UPESEAT Admission Process 2024
Step 1 – In the very first step, candidates need to register their details. You can apply for UPESEAT 2024 either online or offline. You need to pay an application fee of Rs 1,350 via Debit/Credit card/ Net Banking.
Step 2 – Release of UPESEAT 2024 Admit Card
Step 3 – The exam authority will organize UPESEAT 2024 as per the selected date and time.

UPESEAT Scholarship
The university provides the scholarship to the students in two forms: Uttarakhand Domicile Special Scholarship and the All India Category.
All India Category
- The candidate must have got at least 60% marks in classes 10 and 12 with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- 50 % tuition fee will be given to 10% seats in almost every program in the first year for ICSE, CBSE & State board pass for students.
- For those candidates whose SGPA will be 8/10 in their second semester, the application will be renewed for them.
- The scholarship in the coming years will be granted on the new scholarship policy.
Uttarakhand Domicile Special Scholarships
Eligibility
- The candidate must have got at least 60% marks in classes 10 and 12 with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- A candidate must have a certificate of his/her Permanent Residence.
- Students can get one scholarship at a time.
- The seats are reserved under the category for Uttarakhand Domicile students.
Scholarships
- In the first year, females will get a scholarship of almost 35% of their tuition fee and 25% of the tuition fee for male students.
- For those candidates whose SGPA will be 8/10 in their second semester, the application will be renewed for them.
- The scholarship in the coming years will be granted on the new scholarship policy.
