Exam dates for JEE Advanced 2023 have been released. It will take place on June 4, 2023. Every year, one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) – IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Roorkee – conducts a national-level exam in rotational shifts. The Joint Admission Board (JAB) provides direction to the seven Zonal Coordinating IITs who oversee the examination.
Only those who have passed JEE Main are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates will be given the option of enrolling in dual degree or integrated master’s programs for bachelor’s degrees. Admission to engineering and architecture programs will be made available to qualified applicants. The JEE Advanced exam will be given in an online, center-based format.
What is JEE Advanced?
JEE Advanced is organized every year by one of the top seven Indian engineering and architecture institutes (IITs), namely IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Bombay, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore under the subordination of aegis of the Joint Admission Board ( JAB). Admissions to Dual degree, Bachelor’s and Integrated Master’s in all the 23 IITs, but 10+2 is mandatory. The admission in IITs and The Indian School of Mines (ISM) is made based on the candidate’s JEE Advanced rank.

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility
Aspirants, who want to pursue engineering via top colleges, have to fulfill the below JEE advanced eligibility criteria:
- Those candidates whose date of birth is 1st October 1997 and more are eligible to give the JEE Advanced 2023. The relaxation of 5 years is being provided to ST/SC category.
- Both Indians and Foreign candidates can apply for the exam.
- As per the student’s request, 75% of the eligibility criteria for admissions into IITs have most probably been scrapped this year.
- For taking admission via JEE Advanced, the candidate must have a 12th passing certificate.
- Those candidates who have missed out on JEE Advanced 2020 are eligible to give JEE Advanced 2023.
- There are two maximum attempts for the JEE 2023 exam.

JEE Advanced 2023 Exam Pattern
- JEE Advanced 2023 has two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2, with two different languages, English and Hindi. You can opt for any of the languages.
- JEE Advanced 2023 will be conducted as a computer-based test.
- There is a limit of 3 hours to attempt each paper.
- The JEE Advanced 2023 contains MCQs of various subjects- Numerical Aptitude Questions and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
- At the time of the examination, the marking scheme will be provided to the students in instructions.

JEE Advanced 2023 Syllabus
Recently, IIT Kharagpur has released the JEE Advanced 2023 Syllabus. This is true that there was a buzz to eliminate some portions from the syllabus, but recently, IIT Kharagpur has claimed that there will be no amendments in the syllabus; it will remain the same.
