Overview
The Stanley Medical College's original hospital was established on July 2, 1938, and its college is more than 200 years old and was established in 1740 by the East India Company. In 1955, the Alamadhi association of Stanley was begun with the motive to give free medical services to the poor ones in the Alamadhi Village. The medical college is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University and approved by the MCI. The institute offers varied courses to the students, MBBS at the under-graduate level, MS, PG Diploma, and MD at the post-graduate and super-specialty courses like M.Ch and DM.
The hospital aims to provide the best education to those whose dream is to become a doctor and serve the nation. With regard to the institute’s recent developments and innovations, it bagged the first position in becoming Tamil Nadu’s first medical college with 250 MBBS seats. Placement
As per the placement news, there is no campus placement at Stanley Medical College. Even the college does not provide any internship to the students in any companies or hospitals. Only the internship is provided at a college associated with a hospital to practice medicine for one year. The college provides a stipend to those candidates who do an internship in the college hospital.
