Overview
The Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology, Bengaluru (formerly known as Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology) was established in 1996 under the Ujwal Trust by Geeta Narayanan. Recently, the new institute became a part of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), which is the Institute of Eminence recognised by the Government of India. The aim was to provide the Srishti Manipal Institute with world-class infrastructure.
Also, MAHE aims to provide increased access to its students for international opportunities through the University's Global network. The multi-disciplinary institute work towards becoming an institute of global excellence that provides top-quality education, experience and opportunities in fields such as design, media, business, technology, science, law, humanities and many more.
The institute offers design education in various unique subjects like Business Systems and Design, Digital Video Production, and Experimental Media Arts. At present, as of 2020, the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology is a part of MAHE and soon is going to be shifted to Yelahanka, a suburb in Bengaluru.
The Shrishti Institute also offers a decent number of labs and centres that offers research-based and practice environments for students to learn and grow their potential. All the disciplines in this institute provide a well-trained and experienced faculty in their own field of studies that promote intellectual growth and nurture each student's potential. A multi-disciplinary approach in studies helps in self-initiated learning and encourages independent thinking.

Admission Process
The Srishti Institute has 2 Admission Streams. The first stream is for those who have done 10+2 (secondary)/its equivalent or post-secondary (college) and wish to pursue their higher education in the Srishti Institute. The second stream is for those who have started working directly after their 10+2 (secondary)/its equivalent or have experience working in craft or other sectors.
Candidates need to complete the admission process outlined in the Srishti Manipal Entrance and Aptitude Test (SMEAT) protocol for those who want to get admission in the first stream. Those candidates who want to get admission through the second stream need to register for the RPL process. Followed by the registration of the RPL process, students will be required to get a certificate from the relevant skills council from a relevant Skills Sector that is in line with the National Skills Qualification Framework. Finally, the candidates will be able to complete the admission process by using the mentioned certificate as a qualifier to appear for the SMEAT.

To get admission into the Vocational and PG Courses Srishti Institute, candidates applying must have completed one of the minimum educational qualifications that are given below:
- Junior College, Intermediate, State Board, PUC, Senior Secondary, HSSC
- NSQF Certification (Level 4)
- High School Diploma (Canada/USA) - Senior Secondary that is completed with equivalence as per AIU
- National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), New Delhi - Senior Secondary
- International and National Boards -ISC/CBSE/IB/A Levels/AICE
