Overview
Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital, a renowned Government Medical Institute is known as MKCG Medical College and Hospital, laid its foundation in 1962. The college started as a hospital in 1966, located at Brahmapur, Ganjam, Odisha. The college currently provides courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. At the UG level, candidates will get admission to an MBBS course and at the PG level, candidates will get admission in MD and MS programs.
Those candidates, who want to get admission to an MBBS program, candidates have to clear their NEET UG exam organized by CBSE and for MD/MS, the candidates have to appear in NEET PG organized by NBE.

Admission Procedure
The Medical institute provides the four and half year MBBS course and apart from that one-year rotating internship is mandatory in affiliated hospitals or institutes.
Those candidates, who want to take admission in the MBBS course, are done on the basis of NEET organized by CBSE. However, it is mandatory for the candidates to pass their 10+2 level exam with the combination of PCB.

MD and MS Admission
At the postgraduate level, MKCGMC provides MD and MS programs under various specializations. The duration of both the MD and MS is of three years. Those candidates who want to apply for the MD/MS program have to give the NEET PG exam organized by NBE plus, the candidate must have an MBBS degree from a renowned institute/university.

Application Process
- The candidate must visit the college’s official website for filling online applications.
- The candidate must fill out the online application form.
- The MBBS seeking candidates, apply to the NEET-UG application form on NEET official website and the candidates who want to go for MD/MS must fill out the NEET- PG application form.
- The candidates have to pay the NEET-UG and NEET - PG application fees via net banking or credit/debit card.
- For NEET UG, the application fee for General is INR 1400 and for ST/SC/PH candidates is INR 700.
- For NEET-PG, the application fee for General candidates is Rs 3750 and for SC/ST/PH candidates is INR 2750.
