Overview
In 2009, K.S Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA) became a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University). The Medical Institution is named after the visionary founder, Late Justice KS Hegde, former Speaker of the Lok Sabha, and the Supreme Court of India. The vision and mission of K.S Hegde Medical Academy “strive to generate competent and humane professionals empowered to face future challenges with ethical integrity”
The medical institute provides various medical courses, MBBS, MCh, MD/MS programs recognized by the renowned MCI (Medical Council of India). Apart from that, it provides medical aspirants with courses like B.Sc courses in Medical Imaging Technology, Anesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology, Respiratory Therapy. There are master's programs running in college, like Medical Imaging Technology, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Technology, Respiratory Therapy, and Hospital Administration.
The medical institute has 1000 beds attached to the medical institute. The institute serves as a teaching hospital for medical aspirants and offers super-specialty services and great training opportunities for college students.

| MBBS ( Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) | The candidates must be 12th passed with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/Biology, and English as one of the compulsory subjects. The candidate must be NEET-UG qualified. Plus, the candidate must be of 17 years of age as of 31st December. |

| BSc (Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology) | The candidates must be 12th pass with at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/Biology, and English as one of the compulsory subjects. Plus, the candidate must be of 17 years of age as of 31st December. |
| BSc (Medical Imaging Technology) | The candidates must be 12th pass with at least 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/Biology, and English as one of the compulsory subjects. Plus, the candidate must be of 17 years of age as of 31st December. The candidates who have passed Diploma in Radiography/Imaging. |

| M.Sc (A& OTT) | The applicant seeking admission in the M.Sc (A & OTT) course must have a valid BSc degree with a 6-month compulsory internship with 50% marks. |
| PG Diploma ( Computer Tomography Technology) | |
