Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is a famous private Medical University situated in Pondicherry, India. The University is being recognized as an “ Institute of National Importance” which provides UG and PG medical training. JIPMER University was established back in 1964, with the aim to impart medical knowledge to the aspirants! MBBS

The medical institute offers a full-time MBBS program of 4 years and 6 months. The candidates are permitted to send their Application form to the official JIPMER portal. The final selection of candidates is based on the score of the JIPMER entrance examination. 

Eligibility: 10+2 passed candidates with PCB as their main subjects are eligible for the MBBS course.

MD/MS

Admission in the JIPMER MD/MS program is open twice a year, candidates can apply for January or July sessions. Every year in April and October, the Institute announced the call for the application process. The candidates are eligible to go for online registration for filling the application form, and reach out to JIPMER’s official website for more details. In case candidates want to get admission to MSc programs, they have to fill an application in the month of July. The academic sessions for MSC students commence almost in August’s first week.

Eligibility:  Candidates must hold MBBS/ or any equivalent degree, and it is mandatory that the degree should be recognized by M.C.I. For admission to this institute, candidates must get at least 55% in the qualifying examination.

B.Sc

The institute provides a handful of B.SC programs with 10 seats in Bachelor of speech-language and Audiology, Bachelor of Audiology, and 75 seats in B.Sc Nursing. And 58 seats are available for B.Sc Allied Sciences students. 

Eligibility: The aspirant must have got 50 % in ICSE/HSE board with PCB and Zoology as the main subject, English must come under the main subject list.

Ph.D

JIPMER institute offers admission in its doctorate program under 8 disciplines. The candidates are eligible to fill the application form in the month of July. Interested candidates can check out the JIPMER form on its official website and fill it before the last date of submission of the application form. The entrance will be held in the month of June and JIPMER begins its academic session in July every year. 

Placement

JIPMER is offering India’s best placement and internships for its students. As per the students batch 2020, they have got INR 23,000 in their internship plus students got some rare cases to solve, even students have a quota for taking admission in PG, if they have completed MBBS in this institute. From 2020, JIPMER takes students on the basis of NEET and provides a great stipend to the students in their last year.
