Overview

Jamia Hamdard is a higher education medical institute in New Delhi. Jamia Hamdard is a government-sponsored medical institute that was established on August 1, 1989. Our Former Prime Minister, Shri Rajiv Gandhi has done the inauguration of the institute. In 2019, The Ministry of Human Resources has recognized Jamia Hamdard as an institute of Eminence. 

Almost 91 courses are offered by Jamia Hamdard University across various streams. The Deemed to be university organizes students programs at different levels, such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate levels. Some of the most demanding courses of this institute are food technology, law, and humanities, management, nursing, Information technology, engineering, and pharmacy.

The university has two famous campuses across India, one in Kannur and one in New Delhi.  The Kannur campus of Jamia Hamdard offers BCA, BBA, B.Com, and B.A Programmes.

Admission Process 

The Jamia Hamdard has 9 colleges; it offers varied courses to the medical aspirants, UG, PG, PG Diploma, Diploma, MPhil, and Ph.D. courses in Management, Medical Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Arts, Science, and Unani. The candidates can electronically complete their application forms at Jamia Hamdard’s University’s Online Admission Portal. 

The institute’s admission process varies from course to course, but aspirants can fill out the application form at the university’s official website.

• Any candidate seeking admission to an MBBS program must pass the NEET UG exam. The NEET-UG score will help you to get admission to B.Sc (Medical), BPT, BOT, B.Sc (Nursing), B.Pharm, BUMS courses. Non-NEET students also have the chance to go for the Jamia courses, their selection is based on their qualifying test and interview marks.
• NEET PG is mandatory for those who want to get admission in MD and MS. Ayush PGET is important for them.
• The aspirants who have cleared out the JEE Main exam are eligible to apply for university B.Tech program.
• The candidates can take admission in BA, BCA, BBA, and B.Com programs, only if they are passed out with good marks in the 12th class, followed by the interview.
• Those aspirants, who want to get entry in MA programs and M.Tech, have to clear the qualifying degree with an interview round.
• The candidates applying to MBA programs can get admission based on their score in CMAT/MAT/GMAT/GPAR/XAT/ATMA.
