Established on 12th October 1988, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru is a leading institute imparting fashion education to thousands of fashion enthusiasts across the country. This institute falls under the educational division of JD educational trust. Since its foundation, it has expanded to 40+ learning centres to provide multidisciplinary education in the field of fashion and design.

JD Institute is a private institute that follows the motto "Welcome to the imagination". With its 225 expert-academic staff, the institute lives up to its motto and helps students realise their imaginations regarding design to reality. The JD Institute of Fashion Technology is affiliated to the Bengaluru City University for its UG courses and the Goa University for its Goa campus. The institute also has an association with Singhania University for all its new-age masters and UG programs. Besides, the institute is a member of many prestigious bodies of national and international importance like Adobe India, Cumulus, UID, ADI, EQAC, and many more.

The institute has been honoured by various awards in its glorious journey since 1988. In 2021, it was awarded the best fashion and interior design institute. It was also awarded under quality education and leading infrastructure by National Architecture and Interior Design excellence awards and conference 2021. The JD institute also received the same award in 2020. In 2018 it was awarded as a leader in education at UK Asian Business and many more awards throughout its history. Results and Cut-off

For admissions in any UG, PG, diploma, and degree course the JD institute offers, the candidate must fulfil some eligibility criteria. Firstly, the candidate must have completed their higher secondary education from any recognised education board in India from any stream. Besides this, for masters' course admission, the candidate needs to have a graduate degree from any recognised university.

There are no minimum cut off marks required for the admissions at JD institute; however, students with more than 50% aggregate scores in their higher secondary education are more likely to get admission than students who don't have the scores.

Placements

The JD institute possesses an active placement cell that runs an active online portal. This portal is provided for the recruiters to post advertisements for any job. From there, the placement prepares posters of the same, which are then shared on the bulletin boards of campus and are also sent in WhatsApp groups.
