Overview

Founded in the year 1984, the ICFAI Foundation of Higher Education, Hyderabad is one of the best institutions to aspire for. Located in the Donthanapally area of ​​Hyderabad, this institution was deemed to be a university by Section 3 of the UGC Act which was passed in the year 1956. 

It was founded by none other than the highly esteemed NJ Yasawa and is currently one of the most renowned institutes in the country. ICFAI is known to be one of the largest multidisciplinary institutions in the country and is known for its architectural courses in particular. 

Existing for more than 37 years now, the institutional CGPA lies at 3.43 out of 4 which is quite impressive and has helped the institute receive the NAAC accreditation of an A++ institution.

Being a multidisciplinary institution, ICFAI is quite prestigious and offers B. Arch Courses to the students.

Eligibility criteria 

● Students must pass in a 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% marks where their subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and should also have 50% marks in aggregate. 

        OR 

● Students must have passed in 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. They should have at least 50% marks in aggregate.

● Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA)

        OR

● Candidates must pass in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main – Paper II (B.Arch) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

● Apply online - Apply online by putting in all your necessary personal information as well as school passing details. In the case of all the undergraduate courses, you have to pass the board equivalent exams for 10+2. Supporting mark sheet for the same has to be uploaded as well.

● Submit necessary details and payment- Once all the necessary information has been put forth you have to make the payment via online mode. It can be done through a credit card or even through the internet banking facility. 

● Verification- Once the application has been submitted, students need to wait for their final call. They would be asked to come and visit the college physically with their information to complete the verification. 

● Merit list - The university will release its merit list and the students will be accommodated depending on the number of seats. 

Results and Cut Off

In order to apply for an architecture course at the institute, your performance in the NATA or JEE will be taken into account. For the course, it is done on a merit list basis and an entrance exam that helps you qualify for the seat. Other factors that influence the cut-off and results are the difficulty level of the exam, the number of students appearing for it, and so on.

Placement Cell

Students from ICFAI Hyderabad are offered prestigious positions all around the country in the architectural field as they choose to move forward with.  

The college has its own career management center that runs under the guidance of the director who leads a team of managers and other members.  

More than 1000 companies come into contact with the career management center as the college has managed to build a strong relationship with them.  

This dedicated placement cell takes care of all these requirements along with arranging internships for the students. The faculty members take care of everything and make sure to guide the students throughout the process. 

Campus Facilities

The University campus is quite well spread and there is a host of greenery which allows ample breathing space and fosters an atmosphere for education.  

There are laboratories and workshops as well as hostels which are well equipped with Medical Center James as well as recreational activities such as carrom chess and other sports facilities.  

Some other facilities that this architectural college includes are a computer center, administrative block, lecture halls, meeting rooms, etc. There is also a very well-equipped library for the students to access.
