Overview
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology is located in the state of Kerala. The institute was officially established in the year 1991 by the Kerala government. Since its inauguration, it has become one of the most recognized institutes in Kerala. RIT is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Besides that, the architectural department was started in the year of 2011 with the aim to provide high-quality education to students whose interest is in architecture. Besides educational development, the college also deals with personality development, ensuring that every RITian is a good human first, then a good student. The college provides an opportunity for individuals to excel in all walks of life up to their full potential and is named after the late Prime Minister Sri Rajiv Gandhi.
Courses Offered
The college offers architecture courses, including PG and UG courses affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
The All India Council approves all the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology for Technical Education (AICTE) courses. Its B.Arch program comprises ten semesters. Following are the UG courses offered by RIT.

Application Process
The application process is quite straightforward. The person aiming to get admission in RIT must follow the below-stated process-

● Fill in the required details- They must fill in the details according to the details mentioned in their documents. They must verify the details.
● Submit to the institute - The application must be submitted to the institution after filling.
● Upload photographs and signatures - He or she should upload their photographs and signatures.
● Payment should be completed - After all the process, the online payment must be made to complete the process.
● Add required information- He or she should fill in all details like academic details, professional experience, address, and other relevant information in the form.
● Complete verification process - After all the verification process, the Authority will check the form, and the provisional admission will be offered to the student.
Admission to the students for the B. Arch program is based on their performance in NATA and qualifying exam only.
Results and Cut Off
The results and cutoffs of the architecture department are 142 for the general category, 1534 for SC, 387 for BH, 1672 for DV, and so on.
Speaking specifically, the cut-off is based on multiple factors including the difficulty of the tests, candidates appearing for it, directing rounds, and so on. While the admission is based on how the students attain the University's cut-offs. Once they attain it successfully, they would be eligible for the next round and would have a chance to be a part of this college.
Placements
The campus has occupied the topmost position in the industry, both in India and abroad. Top-notch companies in the industry, including Ashok Leyland, Morphogenesis, TATA, Aditya Birla, and so on hire candidates from the RIT campus. The placement to student ratio is very good. Capable and great educated people will not have to waste their academics. Students in the architectural department have to undergo an internship of 6 month period as per the new syllabus. A separate cell in the college known as CGPC guides the students about career and placements. The organization is guided by the students of the 3rd year and 4th year. Moreover, the students are also given placement training so that they can have a bright future ahead.
Campus Facilities
Not only is it known for its academics, but it is also known for its faculty. The campus has been built over 89 acres of land. It has been beautifully built to suit the steep contoured site of the plantation with outstanding facilities to make life easier for the students inside the university. The campus structure has been divided into different blocks: administrative, architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer science. For the architectural students, the campus facilitates labs, a separate library, conference halls, workshop studios that are fully equipped with costly assets, and hostels for both men and women. The quality of food in a mess is very good, and the hygiene is very well maintained. With a group of active practitioners and academics, the students are trained, encouraged, and supported in their design thinking process.

RITAAN helps you to stay in touch with the relations and emotions you left in the back of the soul of RIT. More than 5000 candidates right now are members of the Alumni Network of RIT. In addition, RITAAN has helped many developing colleges financially. The Alumni organizes special workshops at regular intervals to make the student much more familiar with the curriculum. IEEE Student Exemplary Student Branch Award is also given to the RITans. It is believed that this is the recognition toward the commitment and resolution of our scholar branch in guiding humanity through architecture.
