Overview

The Center for Environment Planning and Technology was established in 1962. It is a private university that offers education and research work in architecture, design, management, and other related disciplines. The Center for Environmental Planning and Technology University is also popularly known as CEPT and has received recognition from the All India Council of Technical Education as well as from the university's commission grants. The university offers multiple courses in undergraduate, post-graduation as well as research-based courses like a Ph.D. CEPT has been recognized as the scientific and industrial research organization by the DSIR, Govt. of India. There are various merit-based scholarships that the university provides to deserving students. CEPT offers various courses in the area of ​​the environment of human society as well as disciplines. The college develops its students overall and guides them into a better future.

CEPT offers over 20 Undergraduate, Postgraduate as well as Doctoral programmes. The courses vary in years, fee, admission etc. Here are the courses offered by CEPT.

The above are the degrees available in CEPT under which there are multiple courses in different disciplines for people to choose from. While the Faculty of Architecture provides four independent Master's degrees in the following areas 1. Architectural Design; 2. Architectural History and Research; 3. Conservation and regeneration; 4. Landscape Architecture

Course Highlights

● Every course curriculum is based on the ability of the students. CEPT asks for feedback every other day and molds its course curriculum according to the requirements and abilities of its students.

● Every course is practical knowledge-based as it prepares the students for the industrial world. There is a clear balance between the conceptual knowledge as well as the industrial knowledge that is imparted in the college. It helps the students build a firm base of knowledge while they prepare themselves to work in the real world.

● Every course is updated regularly according to industrial needs. The updated courses keep the students at par with industrial needs so they are trained to work for the market later on.

● The faculty is extraordinary, they have very high qualifications as well as experience. They are extremely helpful as they take future conditions into consideration while they teach the courses.

Admission Process

The admission on the courses is all merit-based. The eligibility is mainly based on prior qualification along with entrance exams that are required for all the courses distinctly. The admission process is the same in the courses; there are only some minor differences. Every candidate has to meet the specific eligibility criteria of courses before applying to CEPT. 

● The official form is available on the website of CEPT. The candidate has to visit the official website and go on the tab to apply now.

● Firstly they have to register themselves by providing the required details and obtaining a registration ID and email.

● After registration, the candidate has to log in with the ID and password again and then choose the desired course.

● Then, the candidate has to fill out the plan with the required information along with supporting documents and upload it.

● After filling out the application and uploading the documents, the candidate has to also pay the application fee. 

After filling out the application, if the candidate is selected further there might have to be a party group discussion as well as a personal interview.

Result and Cut off

CEPT offers various specializations in every course. The candidate can choose their specialization according to their choice. The seats are depending on the candidate's entrance exam score sheet which they have to give prior to applying for CEPT courses. The candidates are given seats according to their score in the various entrance exams and later the candidate can confirm their seats by applying. Along with the entrance exam result, the candidate also has to have 50% aggregate of their graduation as well as 10+2 or equivalent.

Placements

The CEPT has a placement cell of their own that conducts placement drives for the students every year along with other workshops. There are many companies that come to offer placement to CEPT, the top companies are KPMG, HP, VMS, TCS, Infosys, Egis India, etc. Every year 80-90% of students get hired by various companies from CEPT. With every passing year, the placement ratio has been increasing. The highest salary offered in CEPT is 9 to 10 LPA and the minimum salary offered is 3 LPA to 5 LPA.

Campus Facilities

There are great facilities in CEPT that give the students a great environment for studying as well as improving in all other sectors. The campus has a well-equipped library filled with a lot of journals, student reports, research papers, books, etc. The CEPT campus has hostel facilities for both girls and boys with multiple facilities like gym, TV, Canteen, etc. There are also multiple sports complexes like basketball courts as well as football courts. There are also multiple lab facilities like Computer lab, language lab, science lab, GIS lab, environmental science lab, remote sensing lab, etc. There is also on-campus wifi. There are hospitals and other medical facilities, a design studio, an auditorium as well as a cafeteria.
