Armed Forces Medical College, Pune laid its foundation as a medical institute on 1st May 1948. The reason behind its formation is the merger of many defense units, and the backbone behind this noble idea is the BC Roy Committee. Presently, this amazing medical unit is counted among popular India’s premier medical colleges and holds a position for being the centre of quality education and research. Admission Process
- Are you looking for admission to AFMC? You have to follow below pointers :
- AFMC gives admission to the candidates on the basis of national eligibility or an entrance exam.
- After the entrance exam, you need to attend the interview organized by the college. Even, applicants are requested to attempt and qualify for the NEET-UG.
- Once the registration windows get closed, now the college will shortlist the candidates as per their score in the NEET-UG.
- Now, in this, shortlisted candidates will go under screening test, conducted by AFMC. The process consists of English language tests, Psychological tests, Test of logic and reasoning.

MBBS | 4 ½ years | Aspirants must have done their 12th with at least 50% marks in the science stream and English is a must. |
BSc (Nursing) | 4 years | Only female candidates will get the chance to do a BSc in Nursing. But they have to score at least 50 % in PCB. |
MSc | 3 years | The candidates must have done their BSc from a well-recognized university/college. |
MD | 3 years | The candidates must have an MBBS degree, that too from a well-recognized university and affiliated by the law of India |
PHD | 3 years | The candidates must have done an MS/MD in Medicine. And, that too from a well-known college/university. |
