Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), is the foremost Indian medical institute situated in Delhi. The renowned institute was Established in the year 1956 by the act of parliament, as a medical institution of National Importance. As per the IIRF ranking, AIIMS, New Delhi hit the top position for being the top MBBS College.

AIIMS is facilitated to offer paramedical and medical courses to students seeking Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, Residency, Super-Specialty levels. The top-most institute is rendering educational services for research, teaching, and patient care. At present, the AIIMS application process for the 2021 course is underway, and the last day to fill the application is 12th May.

Admission Process

• The Institute offers varied courses to the students in the field of medical nursing etc. One can go for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and super specialty in different medical and education fields.
• Earlier, one can take admission in MBBS by clearing the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam. Now, for taking admission to an MBBS, one needs to clear NEET UG organized by NTA.
• After qualifying for the Common Entrance Exam AIIMS PG with required marks, candidates can get admission in PG and super-specialty courses.
• Organized an Online Computer Based Test ( CBT) for its PG and Super-speciality courses.
• Candidates must pass one of the listed entrance tests in the last two years for taking admission to the AIIMS Ph.D. program.

Courses

This medical institute provides students with 92 courses under different streams that are inclusive of undergraduate courses in Nursing, Medical, and science, and others. The Duration for doing the MBBS course is almost five years, for MD/MS it's three years whereas BSC nursing is for four years and MSC nursing is for two years.
