Overview

The Sunrise University is a private state university which is situated in the city of Alwar, Rajasthan, and was established in the year 2011 by the Sunrise Integrated Educational Trust and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers more than 100 courses like  diploma ,  undergraduate ,  postgraduate , and  doctoral  programs under various departments such as arts and  social studies ,  science , library science, law, education, journalism and mass communication, commerce and  management  studies,  engineering and technology, paramedical science, pharmacy, hotel management, and many more.

The university has a great set of faculties with higher degrees, as most of them have Ph.D. as their qualifications, which guarantees an exceptional set of knowledge along with heavy experience in teaching their recognized subjects. The students receive theoretical and practical knowledge from them, which helps them in their personal and professional careers. The university has collaborations with a lot of national and international organizations in both academic and industrial fields, which benefits the students in learning about the practicality of the subject.

The tie-ups with organizations help the university organize a number of seminars, guest lectures, live training programs, and workshops from industrial experts that provide an opportunity for the students to learn about the working culture of industries. The university campus is spread over an area of ​​35 acres that offers all the facilities that are necessary to run an educational firm smoothly. Sunrise University is ranked 147th in all India and the 20th state university of Rajasthan by the IIRF University Rankings 2023 among the top universities in India.

• The School of Engineering and Technology offers courses like polytechnic, B.Tech, M.Tech, and Bachelor of Architecture in various specializations such as data mining, artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics, automobiles, and many more.
• The School of Science offers courses like B.Sc and M.Sc in various specializations such as physics, chemistry, math, interior design, fashion design, human nutrition, health safety and environments, and many more.
• The School of Arts and Social Studies offers courses like BA, MA, BSW, and MSW in various specializations such as geography, political science, history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, and many more.
• The School of Foreign & Indian Languages ​​offers certificate courses and PG diplomas in various languages ​​such as Spanish, German, French, Urdu, English, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given process to get admission to the university.

• The candidates can apply for the admissions in both offline and online modes.
• For an offline application form, the candidates need to visit the university or have to download the application form from the official website of the university and have to fill it out with the required details along with the necessary documents. 
• The candidates are required to send the application form through the postal service along with a DD (draft demand) of the application fee.
• For an online application form, students are required to fill in a form on the website of the university with the required details and attach the required documents. 
• The students are required to pay an application fee to submit the form.
• All the UG and PG courses are allotted admissions on the basis of merit in previous academic records, while admissions to Ph.D and M.Phil programs are taken through an entrance test.
• The university declares a merit list of the selected students who have to pay an admission fee to confirm their seats.

Results and Cut off

The university offers admissions in diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses to students on the basis of their previous academic records and the entrance examination for Ph.D and M.Phil courses. 

The students are required to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education in India to gain admission in an undergraduate programme. 

For a master's degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 50% marks.

For a Ph.D or M.Phil programme, the students need to have a masters degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 55% marks. The students are required to appear in an entrance test organized by the university and have to score the cutoff marks and then perform well in the group discussion and the personal interviews.

Placement

The university offers campus placement drives for students in their final years that give them the opportunity to start their professional career just after finishing their academic session at the university. The university prepares the students in such a way that recruiters are happy to place them in their organizations. The average salary offered to the students at the university is approximately 3 lakhs per annum. The major recruiters of the university are Maintech Technology, Paytm, MOTHERSON AUTOMOTIVE TECH. & Engg., MRF, Serco, and many more.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Alwar, Rajasthan and spread over an area of ​​35 acres, which is filled with a lot of greenery and trees that offer a pure environment and feasible conditions for students to complete their academic sessions. The campus has the facilities like hostels, labs, library, transportation, mess, cafeteria, sports grounds, gym, seminar halls, auditorium. 

The auditorium at the university hosts a lot of events like annual functions, tech fests, and other cultural programmes. The auditorium is a fun place for the students to perform extracurricular activities such as singing, dancing, theater, and other activities that help them get engaged in the academic session.

The campus has more than 80 laboratories that are fully equipped with all the necessary resources that are needed for the practical's of the students. The academic library has the academic books along with the journals, magazines, daily newspapers, research papers, and other necessary books that enhance the theoretical knowledge of the students.

There are separate hostel blocks for boys and girls, and the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The mess is attached to the hostel and offers food that is suitable for the health of the students and staff. The university also offers medical facilities for the students. The ambulance is always ready for any emergency situation at the campus.
