St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education and Research

St. Peter's institute of higher education and research (SPIHER) is a well-known Deemed to be University located at Paruthipattu in the state of Tamil Nadu. The institute is known for catering to the needs of the local students, especially those representing the weaker sections of society. This is a Deemed to be University established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act,1956. It is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The university is known for making stupendous efforts towards ensuring suitable placements for its students. To make it possible, this institute has a professional placement and training cell. Students are exposed to pre-placement training where the emphasis is put on their communicative skills. They are also trained on Mock Interviews and Group Discussions.
