IEC University is a private university situated in the city of Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, and was established in 2012 by the State Government of Himachal Pradesh and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers several courses in diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various schools like engineering, computer applications, basic sciences, law, journalism & mass communication, physical education, humanities and social sciences, pharmacy, business management and commerce, and many more.

For an undergraduate program, the candidates need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board of education in India with at least 45% marks, and a relaxation of 5% mark is given to reserve category students. For a master’s program, the students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India. For M.Phil and Ph.D, the university requires a candidate to have passing certificates from UGC NET/JRF, SET, and other qualifying examinations.
