The GLS University is a private university which is situated in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and was established in 2015 by the Gujarat Law Society (GLS) and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in several specializations such as engineering, law, education, management, commerce, business administration, performing arts, computer applications, design, and many more.
The university has an exceptional set of faculty members who have experience in both teaching fields along with industrial backgrounds. The students are given admissions to the university on the basis of their previous academic records and the marks scored in the entrance examinations organized by the university and other government agencies at the national level.
The university offers admissions in the management courses on the basis of the marks scored in the CMAT entrance examination. For other courses, the university conducts an entrance examination on its own, and the students with the cutoff marks are called for counseling, where they may have to go through group discussion followed by a personal interview. The eligibility of the students is different on the basis of UG, PG, and Ph.D as given below.
The students must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent level of examinations from a recognized board of education with at least 45% marks to get admission to an undergraduate course. A relaxation of 5% marks is given to reserve category students. For a master’s degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. For doctoral programs, students should have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
The university offers campus placement drives for students in their final year of academic session that give them an opportunity to start their professional career just after completing their academic session. The university calls up to 140 companies for recruitment in every academic session. The highest package received by any student is 12 lakhs per annum, and the average salary package offered to the students is 4 lakhs per annum.
