Overview

Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology is a private university which is situated in the city of Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. It was established in 2002 and was recognized as a university in 2009 and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in several specializations such as engineering, management, commerce, business, science, computer science, computer applications, medical sciences, agriculture, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and many more.

The university has an academic collaboration with Stamford International University, Thailand that offers students the opportunity to experience the global environment at the campus. The academic collaboration helps the students with the academic model at an international level and access to the knowledge, resources, and faculty members of Stamford International University. There are various industrial collaborations with IBM, TVS, Infosys, ZenSar, and others that help the university organize various seminars, webinars, workshops, and guest lectures, which help the students understand the working culture of the industries as professionals.

The university believes in innovation based research and education because it provides an opportunity for students to apply their theoretical knowledge to create a practical innovation. The idea factory at the campus is a place where the students learn various practical skills that will help them in their professional careers. The university offers various courses at different schools in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The School of Engineering and Emerging Technology offers B.Tech, BCA, MCA, M.Tech, and Ph.D in various specializations such as civil engineering, computer science engineering, mechanical engineering, artificial engineering, data science, electrical engineering, and many more.
• The School of Management Studies offers courses like B.Com, BBA, MBA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as finance, marketing, accounting, human resources, international business, and many more.
• The School of Science offers courses like B.Sc and M.Sc in various specializations such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, medical, nonmedical, microbiology, and many more.
• The School of Pharmacy offers courses like D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Ph.D, and industrially oriented courses in various specializations of pharmacy.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates have to visit the official website of the university to apply online or they can get an offline application form through a call, or they can directly visit the university and pay an application fee of Rs. 990 to get an application form.
• The candidates have to fill in the application with the required personal details and upload the necessary documents like the marksheets and certificates of their educational background to prove their eligibility, along with their photographs and signatures.
• The candidates have to pay an application fee to submit the application form in the online mode.
• On submission of the application form, an unique user ID and password will be auto generated by the system, which is to be used by the applicant throughout the admission process.
• The candidates have to appear in the entrance examination organized by the university. They can appear in one of the online or offline modes of examination.
• The university will display the results with the cutoff marks on the official website within two weeks of the examination.
• The students with the cutoff marks are called for counseling and are given admission on the basis of overall merit. The students have to pay an admission fee to confirm their seats at the university.

Results and Cut off

The students are given admission to the university on fulfilling the eligibility criteria of the desired courses and the cutoff marks in the entrance examination organized by the university. Some of the national level entrance examinations like JEE Mains are also preferred by the university.

Students need to pass the 10+2 or an equivalent level of examinations from a recognized board of education with at least 50% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students to get admission to an undergraduate course. For the master's degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 55% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students.

For admission to doctoral programs, students need to have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 55% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students.

Placements

The university offers campus placement drives for students in their final years that provide them an opportunity to start their professional career just after completing their academic session. The university has a training and placement cell that guarantees 100% placement to all eligible students. The university placed a total of 103 students in the 2022 academic year. The highest salary package received by any student was 6 lakhs per annum by IBM and Accenture, and the average salary package is around 2.5 lakhs per annum. The major recruiters of the university are L&T, Tata Steel, Vodafone, Infosys, Cipla, Dabur, Amazon, Reliance, and many more.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh and spread over an area of 40 acres, which has a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment, which is suitable for the students to complete their academic sessions. The campus has all the facilities like hostels, gyms, library, laboratories, smart classrooms, auditorium, mess, cafeteria, sports grounds, wi-fi campus, medical facilities, and many more.

The hostels at the campus are separated on the basis of boys and girls. The hostels offer clean and safe rooms for the students. The hostel has various sections that offer various facilities like indoor games, a mess that offers healthy and tasty food for the students, and many more. The cafeteria at the campus offers great snacks, tea, and coffee, and it is one of the favorite places for students to spend their time.

The library at the campus has a lot of academic books along with journals, magazines, and daily newspapers that enhance the theoretical knowledge of the students and help them during their academic session. The students can borrow the books from the library for a limited period of time. The labs at the campus are equipped with the instruments and the resources that are required for the practical's of the students.
