Symbiosis International University in Pune is a private deemed educational institution spreading over ten campuses throughout the country. It was established in the year 1971 with the motto  “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. The university is headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra and was founded by S.B Mujumdar. Symbiosis International University is affiliated to UGC and ranks 43 position among all Universities in India according to NIRF.

Symbiosis International University offers various courses such as Law, Management, Engineering, Computer studies, Health science and many more courses over eighteen academic institutions. This Deemed University according to Academic Year (2019-2020) provides Doctoral programs, Post-graduation, Graduation and Diploma courses.

The University according to Academic Year (2019-2020) provides a research program within the university. The Ph.D. program offered in the university is considered to be one of the best course among private universities. All the programs are offered as per the guidelines provided by the UGC.

Symbiosis is a university that has a strong view about the research programs and the number of scholars admitted to the course is predetermined. SCRI was established in the year 2009 and aims to promote research qualities among faculty and students. Law, Management, Computer Studies, Health Sciences, Media & Communication, Architecture & Design, Humanities & Social Sciences and Engineering are the various departments that offer Doctoral programs in the University.

Sona Mohapatra, the singer, lyricist and composer obtained an MBA in Marketing and Systems from Symbiosis Center for Management & Human Resource Development. Gauri Shinde the noted ad and film director graduated from Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication. Dhruv Sehgal, the actor known for his work in Filter Copy and Little Things studied at Symbiosis Institute if Media and Communication. Narayani Shastri the prominent television and theatre actress is an alumna of Symbiosis International University. S N Subrahmanyam, CEO and Managing Director of Larsen & Toubro pursued a Masters in Business Administration from Symbiosis Institute of Management. Radhika MairaTabrez is an award-winning writer who holds an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. Suvigya Sharma, an artist, a painter, and a demonstrator of miniature-painting technologies studied Foreign Trade and Export Management from Symbiosis International University. Vasuki Sunkavalli, the lawyer who went on to represent India at the Miss Universe 2011 pageant has a Bachelor’s in Law degree from Symbiosis International University.
