Overview

Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent section to Bharati Vidyapeeth, deemed to be a University, came into existence in the year of 1964. The institute was established by the great visionary Dr. Patangrao Kadam. His aim was to bring about intellectual awakening as well as the overall development of people of the country through proper education. From the initial stage itself, the institution has been in the forefront of creating better educational opportunities to millions, including those from rural as well as tribal regions and also from disadvantaged.

Pune Dhankawadi campus, also known as Katraj campus is the prime campus of the Bharati Vidyapeeth. It also accommodates the Bharati Hospital, and an Ayurveda and Homeopathic Hospital.

Research & Development

Interactive Research School for Health Affairs is one of its kind that is totally dedicated to extensive research and development.The institute conducts research in priority areas of human health by coordinating with other constituents of the university. This research institute is an active center of research in Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as Applied Chemistry. The center is recognized for doctorate research in the field of Biotechnology, Pharma, Polymer Chemistry and Quality Assurance techniques.

Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Social Sciences Studies and Research was established in the academic year of 1986-87 with a sole intention for social research. The Institute offers other professional courses such as M.B.S., M.Phil. in social work and Ph.D. in Social Work and Social Sciences. The institute conduct various social research that are relevant to the society Because of excellence in education, the Institute is most popular across the country.

Shaheer Sheikh, the Indian model and television actor who is best known for playing the part of the great warrior Arjuna in Star Inida’s Mahabharat and Dev Dixit in Sony’s “Kuchh Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi” has done his graduation in Bachelor of Laws from Bharati Vidyapeeth University. Sfurti Sahare, the International Motivational Speaker and a national best-selling author completed her bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering for women in Pune. Pravin Tarde, the Indian film actor, director, screenwriter, producer, a scriptwriter who works in Marathi Cinema, best known for his film Mulshi Pattern is an alumnus of the University. Vikas Sharma a.k.a. Yoursviku, the multi-talented theatre artist is a social media influencer from India who has studied from the University. Nikhil Paramjit Sharma, an Indian author and sports management professional has a degree in Production Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth.
