Chandigarh Engineering College

Chandigarh Engineering College, or, CEC, Landran is an A-grade educational institute that seeks to impart holistic knowledge with the union of practical and theoretical sides of engineering subjects. It has been 19 years since the establishment of the college and CEC has maintained eminence by providing all-encompassing facilities to its students and faculty. CEC has state-of-the-art infrastructure for which it holds a distinctive position in that region.

The fusion of practice and theory fuelled the academic distinction that became the trademark of CEC and it has warranted the college to achieve innumerable worthy positions. It went on to achieve a milestone by becoming the only private engineering college to get accredited by NBA, the National Board of Accreditation for five long years, that is, from 2009 to 2014. It is one of the top 50 accredited and 25 private institutions as per education quality, some state-of-art facilities, and research. The Business and Management Chronicle ranked CEC second amongst the top ten engineering colleges in the country and placed it in the A++ category. It went to receive the grant of four crores of rupees from the World Bank under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme(TEQIP). The faculty that the college has are all very well qualified and are from the premier institutes like the IITs who look after the teaching, research, and operations in the institute.

The college has developed an amazingly successful student exchange program as a result of its association with more than forty leading universities around the world. The alliance with prominent corporates makes it easy for students to gain industry exposure through training programmes.

Chandigarh Engineering College has got more than 150 patents to its own credit. The number of research papers from the college would amount to more than 1200. They have got funding from DST, the Government of India, and some of the other prominent industries for innovative research projects. The institution has laboratories sponsored by the industry like IBM University Programme, Microsoft i-Spark Centre, IBM, HCL GoPro, Infosys Campus Connect, CISCO Networking Academy, Cognizant C2C, etc. The college has an incubation center that is totally equipped to help new ideas get developed into products and services.

The college has an orientation too strong and focused on placements along with academic excellence. The college has maintained a strategic association with notable companies like Amazon, Infosys, Mahindra and Mahindra, and the likes. For enabling students to get sure-shot placements, CEC provides its students training in Advanced Technologies that include Robotics, Web Development, Cyber Security, Machine and Deep learning, etc.

The institute is too proud of its students who have gone on to work with many acclaimed organizations like Microsoft, WIPRO, Capgemini, Cognizant, Samsung, L&T, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, TCS, etc. The institution has proven itself in the field of technical education by creating a name for itself.
