Rabindranath Tagore University was established in the year 2010 as a private university. It was stabled by the All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology. The campus is situated in Raisen District, Madhya Pradesh. It was formerly AISECT University. RNTU is recognized by UGC and the state government of Madhya Pradesh. “Building new India through Skill Education & Research” is their motto. The university was launched with a vision to transform their students into inspired and responsible professionals. The campus has ample opportunities for placement in the final year. The campus is eco-friendly and has a friendly atmosphere for academic performance. It is a co-educational institution accredited with a “B” grade by NAAC. RNTU was mentioned especially at the World Education Summit Award in the category of “Vocational Education and Training”.

RNTU offers 801 courses across 11 streams. The campus has graduate, postgraduate, and research programs for all the eligible students. The university is affiliated with UGC, AIU, and BCI. In the year 2013, Rabindranath Tagore University was awarded a special mention in the Vocational Education and Training. The university aims at the holistic development of the staff and students. They are not forced to follow any set of conventional ideas but are free to experiment. The coherent structure of student-centric services and programs enables the students to leave the university with an empowering experience, and are set with all the skills required by them to stand out in life. Along with the academic section, the university encourages sports and arts amongst the students. The campus has a wide collection of books that comes to around 40000; 6000 titles and thousands of CDs. The mission of this library is to support and enhance the scholars in their academic performance.

RNTU has an objective to provide a research-related environment and facilities to the faculty and the students. A research committee is initiated under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor. It is the duty of URC to address the issues related to research programs on the campus. There’s a CRG – Core Research Group anointed as well. Their main aim is to promote research facilities in the university. Papers in the International Journals with Impact Factor Papers, National Journal with Impact Factor Papers, National Journal Peer-Reviewed Papers, and SCI Journals are published by the faculty. Multiple Solar Dryer, Transformer Fault Detection, An Afterglow Material for Cold – Tracker, and a Process for the Preparation thereof are the patents by the University.

Around 20% of the students get placed every year, which includes students from all the courses. The highest salary offered to the students is INR 44,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is INR 12,000 per month. A lot of companies come to the university for recruitment like the Axis bank, Videocon, Wipro, Reliance communication, Crompton Greaves, HCL Technologies, NIIT Technologies, Mahindra Finance, Jet Airways, UCO bank, Universal Hunt Pvt. Ltd. TCS, Medtronic, Paytm, Jaro Education, Vedanta, HDFC Bank, Acxiom Consulting, Capital Via, DHFL, Artech, Collabera, Mindlance, Laxyo, Internshala, Linkruit, etc. The median salary offered is INR 4.2 lakhs per annum.
