Jagran Lakecity University was formerly known as Leeds Met India. It is a private educational institution established in 2013. The campus is located at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in a rural area spreading across 250 acres. It is also known as JLU University. The university offers 56-degree programs for more than 2500 students. The university has collaborated with top industries and international universities. The university has many awards to add to its golden feathers. Several leading publications selected JLU as the ‘No.1private University in Madhya Pradesh ‘. Presently JLU, Bhopal is the country chair for the Association of Universities of Asia-Pacific. The university has two campuses in Bhopal: one is in Chandanpura and the other is in Mugaliyachap. The JLU was at first introduced as Leeds Met India, Bhopal. This was the first international campus of Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. It was in 2013, the university was renamed Jagran Lakecity University as it was recognized by the UGC. Igniting changing minds changing lives is the motto of JLU.

Jagran Lakecity University is one of the fastest-growing private university in Madhya Pradesh. Around fifty-six courses are offered on the campus: Graduate, post-graduate, and diploma in fifteen courses. The university is affiliated with UGC, AIMA, AUAP, and CII. The Centre of Excellence in the university supports research development and other projects. “Jagran International Journal on Contemporary Research” is their own journal published by the university. The best research papers, as well as publication of eminent academicians from all over the globe, are published in the journal. ‘Outlook India’ placed JLU’s Journalism and Mass Communication program as No.1 in Madhya Pradesh and ranked it fifteenth in India. The campus of the university is very eco-friendly. Teachers and students develop a bond that helps the students to perform better. JLU has many MOUs with national and international industries, as well as universities. The University invites many renowned lectures to host classes and seminars for scholars. They also have a career exploratory program. It is Central India’s first summer school that provides university experience.

Jagran Lakecity University provides M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs for research scholars in various streams. This is one of the fundamental aims of the university. University’s research cell along with international collaboration created an environment that produces effective results and places the university at the forefront of educational institutions. Doctoral style coaching is given from the postgraduate level in order to familiarize students with research methodology. The University maintains a high standard in research work. Keeping this in mind the selection of scholars is pre-determined by the university with certain rules and regulations. Guides are assigned to the scholars for support and assistance. “Jagran International Journal on Contemporary Research” is an open access international journal published by the University. The research programs in the university address the basic problem of research in a multi-disciplinary framework.
