The Kanpur Institute of Technology or KIT is an institution that is known to provide excellent on-campus opportunities to its students. KIT is a Private Institute. KIT was established in the year 2004. KIT has a campus spread over 25 acres of land with facilities such as a Library, Computer Laboratory, Hostel, Sports Complex, etc. Kanpur Institute of Technology is approved by the PCI-Pharmacy Council of India, UPBTE-Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education, and AICTE-All India Council For Technical Education. It is affiliated with AKTU-APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, and CSJM-Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University. To take admissions in KIT one has to sit for the entrance examination conducted by the institute. KIT is an institute that offers various degrees and diploma courses in the discipline of Engineering, Science, Management, and Humanities.

Academic Performance

KIT is ranked 9th in 2019 as Best Private Institution in Uttar Pradesh. It is ranked 1st as Best B-School in Kanpur and is ranked 2nd as Best Private Institute in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. There are several under-graduate, post-graduate, and diploma courses offered by KIT. Some of the courses provided are B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Bachelors in Fine Arts, Bachelors in Fashion and Apparel Design, B. Vocational in Banking, Medical Imaging Technology, Financial Services and Insurance, B. Pharm., M. Tech., M.C.A., M.B.A., Diploma in Engineering and D. Pharm.

Placement Highlights

The Placement and Corporate Relations Cell in KIT makes sure that all the students from the institute get placements in reputed companies. This cell maintains contact between companies and students. It conducts various mock placement drives and interview sessions to make sure that qualifying the placement process becomes easy for the students, and they are prepared to take on all of the steps conducted in a placement interview. Infosys, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Doubtnut, Franchise India, NIIT Technologies, Ebix Software, AGS Group, CapitalVia, Policy Bazaar, and Nucleus Software are some of the companies that students have successfully grabbed jobs at. There are more than 520 students that are placed with more than 150 companies with multiple offers.

A total of 74 companies visited the KIT campus for recruitment of the batch passing out in 2020. The total placement percentage was marked to be 123%, leaving 57 students with more than one placement offer. The average package was recorded to be 7.2 Lakhs per annum, and the highest package was marked at INR 3.4 Lakhs per annum.
