IIS University

The IIS University is a private Deemed-to-be University in Jaipur which was established in the year of 1995. This university is a famous institution for women’s education. The principal purpose of the university is to support and preserve academic excellence, convert the dreams and ambitions of the youth to reality, and endeavor and seek to cater to the Global needs. The University’s aim is to provide a conducive environment for the development of the personality of an individual. IIS University was first named International College for Girls, or ICG, in the later years they changed its name to IIS University. The college was founded in the year 1995, and in 1999, it became a college offering Post-graduation. IIS University is the only college in Rajasthan to have got an “A+” accreditation by NAAC. The college is approved by MHRD, NAAC, NCTE, and UGC.

With about 5200 students, the university offers a wide range of courses in UG, PG, Ph.D., and Research programs. Alongside degree courses, the candidates can also opt for a Diploma or Certificate program. The eligibility criteria for admissions is different for each of the courses. UG courses include B.A (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.), B.Com. (Hons.), BCA, BBA, BJMC, B.A., and B.Ed. The PG courses include MBA, M. Com., MCA, M. Sc., MFA, MJMC, and MSW. Diploma courses offered by the university are in Fashion Designing, Tourism and Airline Management, Fine Arts, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Mass Communication, Retail Management, and Business Analytics. With these, one can also opt for a Ph.D. in English, Economics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Commerce, and Women’s Studies.

Several clubs and societies are there in the University like the E-Cell, Yuva Club, Rotary Club, Drama Club, Photography Club, Music Club, Sports Club, etc. The students are offered various COSD courses that give them an opportunity to gain extra skills. The most happening event of the College is its Annual College Fest which is held every year. Every year the students also look forward to The Annual Fashion Show and The Annual Play.

The research is an important activity at IIS Deemed-to-be University. Most of the departments are into research to facilitate personality development, creation, and distribution of knowledge to promote academic excellence. The University has well-equipped research laboratories with expert technicians and protocols. The University has many national and international collaborations for research and extension activities. Such linkages help in training both the staff and the students in developing research orientation.

The placement cell is quite efficient and has a stronghold on the industry biggies. The top recruiters of the University are BMW, Barclays, Wipro, NIIT Technologies, Genpact, Bank of America, Ernst And Young, Tommy Hilfiger, HCL, TCS, PNB, Tech Mahindra, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Prudential, IBM, TV99, and many more.
