Malviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur

MNIT, Jaipur is a public university located in the city of Jaipur in the Rajasthan state of India. It is funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and was established in the year 1963. The institute has been approved by AICTE and MHRD. The institute aims at providing technical knowledge of international standards and to conduct research activities at the cutting edge of technology to meet the present and future challenges of technological development. It has an area of over 317 acres with a picturesque landscape. The institute has a total of 14 departments specializing in different fields. In the year 2019, MNIT was ranked 53 for Engineering by NIRF.

MNIT offers many courses in Sciences, Engineering, Management, Design, and Humanities. The main focus is on Engineering. In total, MNIT, Jaipur offers a total of 38 courses that include both UG and PG courses. The institute specializes in B.Tech. It also offers a Bachelor’s in Architecture (B.Arch.) course. Specializations in M. Plan. and M. Tech. courses are also available. Along with these, MBA and M. Sc. courses are also taught at MNIT, Jaipur. The institute imparts practical as well as theoretical skills to help the students excel and have a practical approach in their fields of study. Before applying for admission to any of the courses, the candidates need to pay heed to the eligibility criteria.

Blitzschlag, a 3-day annual event which is the cultural fest of MNIT, Jaipur is conducted around the start of February every year and pulls students from over twenty colleges all over India. Sphinx is the annual tech-fest spread over 3 days organized solely by the Malaviya National Institute of Technology.

Research in the institute is sponsored by government agencies which include the Ministry of Communication & IT, The Indian Ordnance Factories, Govt. of India, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The institute has also collaborated with many national and international organizations. The institute has a great infrastructure that assists in advanced research in various streams with a focus on types of equipment. The facilities are provided to the scientists and researchers of other institutes as well. Various machines, software, and facilities are available in the lab.

Around 200 companies visit the institute for conducting campus interviews. These organizations work in different fields that include IT and IT-enabled services, consultancy firms, core engineering industries, investment and finance companies, manufacturing, research and development labs, management organizations, and so on. Jaro Education, Hike Education, SAP, IBM, Decathlon, and LG Electronics are some of the recruiters.
