International Institute of Information Technology, IIIT-Hyderabad

Founded as the first IIIT in India and as a not-for-profit public-private partnership (N-PPP) in 1998, the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is a self-governing body, which has developed strong research programmes in various fields, with prominence in technology and applied research for the Industrial applications and the society. In Sept 2011, IITH was certified as Grade A by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Positioned among the main 6 Universities in South Asia in October 2009, according to the research papers on the Internet, in a review held every 3 years, by Cybermetric Lab, Spain’s biggest open examination organization.

Anshuman Singh and Abhimanyu Saxena, co-founders of InterviewBit and Scaler Academy obtained their B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2010 from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. Vikram Gundeti, principal engineer at Amazon in Seattle has a B.Tech. in Computer science from IIIT-H. Rahul Saladi who completed his B.Tech. and M.S. in Computer Science from IIIT-H during 2004-2011 is an Assistant Professor at IISc, Bangalore. Sriram Venkatapathy who came to IIIT-H in 1999 for obtaining a B.Tech. degree stayed back for 10 years, is an acclaimed researcher with more than 8 patents to his name. Santosh Kumar Nanduru, the managing director of his own construction company, graduated from IIIT-H in 2009. Kiran Tharanath, Director of NextGen Sales and Strategy at Samsung Electronics in Seoul graduated with B.Tech.(Hons.) in 2007 from IIT-H.
