National Institute of Technology

Founded in accordance with the act of parliament in the year 2010, National Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the finest technical and self-governing institute which has allegiance with the Ministry of Human Resource Development and was erected under the Government of India. This organization has been proclaimed as an Institution of National Importance.

The institute aims at providing and exploring research facilities in different avenues of Engineering, Science & Technology. The motto of this institute is to provide quality education and help the entrants to evolve and grow into human assets who will be intellectually powerful, innovative and prolific in nature.

The Institute aims in providing a comprehensive environment for the education and progress of the students and excels in providing academic excellence as well as scope for research and innovation. The Institute offers a four-year bachelor’s degree, two-year master’s degree and Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree programmes in various fields of Engineering.

In 2010, NIT Delhi started its session with bachelor’s degree in three streams, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and in the academic year 2013-2014, the strength got significantly increased. Admissions for all Indian Nationals to the institute are based on the result of Joint Entrance Examinations where 50% of the seats are reserved for students of Delhi & Chandigarh and rest 50% is made on the basis of ranks obtained by the students of other states in Joint Entrance Examinations.

Entry to the M.Tech. Programmes are made on the basis of rank obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

The institute also provides a wonderful launchpad to fulfill the professional aspirations of their students in the form of campus placements which involves a keen and perennial investment from employer organizations.
