Overview

The World College of Medical Science Research and Hospital (WCMSRH) is situated in Rohtak, Haryana and was established on August 18th, 2008. The college is affiliated with Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Science. This university aims at providing best medical facilities to the country by generating the top class medical staff.

The college's roots lie in the old traditional beliefs of India and the modern technology and equipment that can enhance the output in the field of medical and health facilities. The university has two sectors. One is the clinical department that deals with all the clinical processes and the courses. Another one is the non-clinical department, which deals with non-clinical stuff. 

The college has several departments for medical and academic purposes, like pre-clinical anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, community medicine, forensic medicine, Medicine & Allied, Surgery & Allied, and Obst. & Gynae.

The hospital facility here provides a chance for the students to practice in a practical environment and deal with real-life situations in the medical field. MBBS is a practical course as it is important for students to get regular practical classes and the hospital at this university provides them with better experience.

Admission Process

The admission process of the college includes the following steps:

● The students have to fill in the registration form of  Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, PGI, Campus , Rohtak to start the admission process.

● After registering on the website, the students have to proceed further with the application form, which can be filled out by uploading the necessary documents.

● The eligibility will be checked by the university’s end to see if the students fully meet the admission criteria or not.

● Admission to the MBBS course is taken from amongst the NEET-qualified candidates.

● Counseling organized by this university and also opting for this institution (WCMSRH), the student desirous of taking admission in WCMSRH.

● If shortlisted and selected by the Central Counseling Committee, the candidate is admitted to the MBBS Course.

Results and Cutoff

The total number of seats is 100 as notified by the Government of Haryana through notification to private unaided medical institutions. 50% of the undergraduate seats are for the Open Merit Category and the remaining 50% are for the Management Category. Out of 50% of the Management Category seats, 15% of seats are in the Non-Resident Indian Category. Further, the distribution of seats, category and quota-wise, is as per the Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak prospectus-2020 as notified by the Govt. of Haryana. 

Placements

While MBBS colleges aren’t famous for placing their students in industrial fields, the doctors have a good track record of getting good jobs in pharmaceutical companies, starting clinics, being consultants, and several other opportunities. 

The World College of Medical Sciences Research and Hospital provides better training and the students are hospital ready to work in any field like government and private hospitals. Currently, there is no information at the official sites regarding placements. Although the recent MBBS batch is going to be passed out soon, surely they will provide a placement list for the records.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the World College of Medical Sciences Research and Hospital is situated in Rohtak, Haryana. Having a huge green campus with open air is a speciality. Hospitals are usually a tense place to visit for everyone, so if a college can deal with it and provide the facilities that enlighten the mood of the students and let them focus on academics, then it must be an achievement for it.

The college has a hostel facility for both boys and girls. The rooms are spacious with almirah storage, tables, chairs , cots, and beds are provided individually. There is also an option for air-conditioned rooms, which could be chosen by the students. Wi-fi facility is also available at the hostel with security and a warden who keeps the students safe and secure.

The hostel students also have access to services like daily newspapers in both Hindi and English and a mess with food of good quality and highly nutritious. 24/7 power backup is available in case of electric power breakups or load shedding.

The college also has a museum, which is equipped with specimen racks and shelves for storing and accurate display of dry and wet specimens and embryological divisions, revolving stands for CT scans, models, MRIs, and  skiagrams, trolley tables, and X-ray view boxes. There are suitable seating arrangements for 35 members to study in the museum. There are two attached lab rooms for the preparation of models and specimens, as well as for artists and modelers. There are 15 catalogs of specimens and models.
